🌿 A garden worth celebrating! 🌿

We’re thrilled to have recently opened the newly renovated garden at Brook View – and what better way to make it official than with a celebration for our residents, families and guests?

Resident Pam had the honour of cutting the ribbon alongside her husband Trevor, before everyone enjoyed a lovely afternoon of bubbly, strawberries and cream, music and sunshine 🥂🍓☀️

Our beautiful new garden has been thoughtfully designed to offer peaceful places to relax, gentle paths to explore and plenty of opportunities to enjoy nature together.

🎉 We’re finalists!

We’re delighted to have been named finalists in the National Apprenticeship and Skills Awards 2026, in the Large Apprenticeship Employer of the Year Category - sponsored by Specsavers, for the South East Region.

The category recognises employers who demonstrate a strong commitment to apprenticeships, the contribution they make to their organisation and the success they bring to individual apprentices.

At Colten Care, apprenticeships give colleagues the opportunity to learn, gain valuable qualifications and develop their careers while making a real difference to the lives of the people we care for.

Our incredible L&D team will be attending the regional ceremony in October, where we’ll find out which finalists have been selected to progress to the National Awards.

We’re incredibly proud to have reached this stage and are looking forward to celebrating alongside fellow finalists and meeting others who share our commitment to developing skills and creating opportunities.

An evening of fascinating conversation, inspiring stories and fundraising for a very special local charity.

This September, we're delighted to welcome businessman, author and former AFC Bournemouth Chairman Jeff Mostyn to Bourne View Care Home in Poole for an intimate evening in support of Forest Holme Hospice Charity.

Jeff will share stories from an extraordinary career, from leadership and resilience to the remarkable journey that saw AFC Bournemouth rise to the Premier League.

Guests will enjoy a welcome drinks reception and canapés, followed by an audience with Jeff, live Q&A, tea, coffee and petit fours, a book signing and charity raffle.

Residents from Fernhill Dementia Care Home recently enjoyed a wonderful day out at nearby High Mead Farm, their chosen Charity of the Year.

The group explored the beautiful gardens, meeting pygmy goats, chickens, guinea pigs, ferrets and even Badger the pig, who was more than happy to receive some well-earned belly rubs! 🐐🐔🐷

After lunch and a cup of tea, residents got involved with planting seeds 🌱

✨ Strictly Extravaganza 2027 has officially launched! ✨

We’re proud to be the headline sponsor of Forest Holme Hospice Charity's Strictly Extravaganza, and were delighted to recently welcome this year’s ten contestants, their professional partners and the Forest Holme team to Bourne View in Poole for the official launch.

As part of our partnership, selected rehearsals will also take place at Bourne View, giving our residents the chance to enjoy a special behind-the-scenes view of the contestants as they perfect their routines. Residents from other Colten Care homes in the BCP area will be invited to join them too 💃🕺

Strictly Extravaganza raises vital funds for Forest Holme Hospice; we’re delighted to be supporting such a wonderful local event and can’t wait to see the contestants’ journeys unfold ✨

🐇🎩 Avon Reach were delighted to bring Wonderland to the Christchurch Carnival this weekend 🎩🐇

One of our minibuses was transformed into a colourful ‘Wonderland on Wheels’, while residents and team members dressed up as much-loved characters 🐰👑

With loved ones joining in the fun, it was a wonderful opportunity for residents and staff to enjoy a special day out together and be part of the wider Christchurch community.

We’re proud to be a sponsor of Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW's Walk for Dementia, now in its fifth year 💙

This September, people can take part anytime, anyplace, anywhere – whether that means a gentle stroll through the local park, a walk along the coast or simply exploring your neighbourhood. Every step can help raise vital funds to support people living with dementia across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Our teams and residents at Kingfishers and Linden House will be taking part, and we’d love to see others getting involved too. Last year’s event raised an incredible £12,000, and we’re looking forward to seeing what can be achieved this year.

There are also organised walks taking place, including the New Milton event on 2nd September, from 1pm to 3.30pm.
