What a fantastic day at the Ferndown Fete on the Field!

Colten Care was delighted to be one of the headline sponsors of this much-loved community event. We spent the day meeting so many lovely local people and enjoying everything the fete had to offer.

Our cake decorating station proved a huge hit, with children getting creative alongside our talented Colten Care chefs, while adults had the chance to enter our prize draw to win a magnum of prosecco.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand to chat and find out more about our local homes – Amberwood House, Fernhill and Brook View. It was especially wonderful to meet so many people who shared positive experiences of Colten Care and our teams. Hearing your stories is always incredibly rewarding.

We welcomed some of our residents down to join in the fun too!

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the Ferndown & Parley Rotary for organising another outstanding fete. Events like these bring communities together, and we are proud to play a part in supporting them.

Our homes came together to celebrate the King's Birthday with a wonderful selection of tea parties, homemade treats and shared moments of companionship.

Residents enjoyed an afternoon of conversation, laughter and celebration, with tables beautifully dressed for the occasion and plenty of cake to go around.

A lovely way to mark the occasion and create more happy memories together 👑 🎂

Colten Care are delighted to be Headline Sponsor for this year's Salisbury Hospice Charity Open Gardens 🌿🌲

Braemar Lodge will be opening their garden to the public on 🗓️ 1st August 🕛 12pm-4pm.

We will be welcoming special guests from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra to play from 2pm-3pm 🎶 And of course, there will be a chance to view the gardens and enjoy homemade refreshments - we cant wait to welcome you to Braemar Lodge!

This weekend, we were delighted to celebrate a very special milestone at Wellington Grange Care Home 🎂✨

The home marked its 10th anniversary with a Royal Ascot–themed afternoon, bringing together residents, families, and colleagues for a joyful event filled with garden “races,” beautiful costumes, and a wonderfully creative fascinator competition. Live harp music and a performance from our very own choir added to the sense of occasion, alongside a look back at the home’s journey since opening in 2016.

The celebration also raised £200 for St Wilfrid's Hospice in Chichester, reflecting the home’s ongoing commitment to its local community.

A decade on, Wellington Grange continues to offer comfort, dignity, and reassurance through dedicated, professional care. Here's to the next ten years 🥂

Earlier this month, residents, families and team members across our dedicated dementia care homes came together to support Dementia UK's Time for a Cuppa campaign, raising funds through tea parties, coffee mornings, and homemade cake sales.

From fascinators to an imaginative Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at a local animal therapy farm, we shared lots of meaningful moments.

As proud partners of Dementia UK, we are delighted to provide Admiral Nurse support for families across our homes. We'd like to say thank you to everyone who helped make our Time for a Cuppa events such a success.

Now, as Dementia Action Week begins, we are reflecting on the importance of creating understanding, reducing stigma, and ensuring families affected by dementia have access to the specialist support they need 🩵
