Perfectionism isn't always obvious.
It doesn't just look like colour-coded planners or paying close attention to detail. More often, it shows up in the quiet things we say to ourselves every day.
"I should be able to do this."
"It's still not good enough."
"I'll rest once everything is done."
Over time, these thoughts can contribute to anxiety, procrastination, burnout, and a constant feeling that you need to do more or be more.
The encouraging news is that these patterns can change. Therapy can help you understand where perfectionism comes from, recognise when it's no longer serving you, and develop a more compassionate and flexible way of approaching life.
We're excited to welcome Janine to the Solid Rock Psychology team in the coming weeks. Janine is a provisional psychologist completing her placement with us until the end of the year and enjoys supporting clients experiencing anxiety, perfectionism and stress.

At Solid Rock Psychology, we know that caring for others starts with creating space to care for our own team too.
Our recent Team Time gave us the opportunity to slow down, connect with one another, reflect on the quarter that has been, and set meaningful goals for the months ahead.
We also took some time to get creative and build our own terrariums - a lovely reminder that growth takes patience, care, and the right environment to flourish 🌱
