We'd like to give a shout-out to one of our colleagues, Shane Douglas, who's taking on an incredible personal fundraising challenge outside of work.

On 30th August, Shane and his friend, Ash will be walking all the way from Berwick-upon-Tweed to Craik Park, Morpeth to raise money for Morpeth Town Hornets.

The funds raised will give the young players the opportunity to travel abroad and compete in a special one-off international football tournament - an amazing experience that will help them grow both on and off the pitch, while creating memories they'll never forget.

It's a huge challenge covering over 102km, and they'll certainly earn a few sore feet along the way!

Another day, another incredible milestone for a member of the HSL team!

Today we're very proud to celebrate Jermaine Varga as he has achieved 10 years of loyal service! 🎉

Over the past decade, Jermaine has grown from joining us through an agency to becoming a highly skilled, respected and valued member of the team. His hard work, dedication and positive attitude have earned him the respect of both colleagues and managers alike, and the quality of his work is something he takes great pride in.

Reaching ten years with any company is a fantastic achievement, and it's only fitting that we recognise the contribution Jermaine has made to HSL over the years. To mark the occasion, two of the people who have worked most closely with him (Paul Taylor and Kevin Rose) wanted to share a few words about his journey and the person he is.

We are delighted to celebrate a truly special milestone – Jemma Heath's 20th anniversary with HSL 🎉

Over the past two decades, Jemma has been instrumental in the growth and development of our business and has become one of the organisation's foundations. Her dedication, commitment, and unwavering support have helped shape HSL into the company it is today.

Jemma is the organisational mastermind behind many of our most memorable events and initiatives, from our annual company conferences and HMS Belfast events to IHEEM exhibitions, Walk This Way challenges, and Snowdon fundraisers. Her ability to bring people together and deliver exceptional experiences is second to none.

Throughout her time at HSL, Jemma has organised and supported countless charitable activities, ensuring we continue to give back to the communities we serve. She has also made sure that every business milestone is celebrated and every success recognised. For many new starters, Jemma is the first person they turn to for guidance, support, and a friendly welcome. Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and willingness to help have made a lasting impact on colleagues past and present.
