"I'm stuffed like a pig after that!" 😆

That was Hazel summing up a wonderful afternoon out at The Storyteller. Terry, Tina, Betty and Kevan would probably agree after a gorgeous lunch and drinks.

Terry said it was the best day he'd had in a long time. Tina said it was just lovely to get out. And on the bus there, Terry kept everyone entertained with stories of filling his mum's coal cupboards as a boy.

Fun in the sun at The Abbeys! ☀️

Sipping mocktails with our feet in the paddling pool! When the sun comes out like this, there's only one place to be and we're so lucky to have such a gorgeous garden to enjoy it in.

Keeping cool matters, especially in a scorcher like this May and our residents absolutely love being outdoors.

If you're passing by, you're more than welcome to come and join us in the garden for a drink and a chat!🌸

Abi joins us every Friday and brightens our mornings with fun and engaging fitness sessions.

Terry's a big Elvis and rock and roll fan, and on Friday treated us all to a dance.

Abi's sessions promote creativity, inclusivity and confidence through the power of the arts and it's why we welcome her back week after week! ✨

Thanks to the volunteers at Swinton Lock, Beryl, Michael, Joan and Rita got out on the canal boat today with J’amie and Courtney. 🚣

The trips are run as a charity. The volunteers shared a bit of the canal’s history, including the rowing boats that used to ferry people across before the locks.

Rita has already asked when she can go back and so we’re already planning the next trip. ✨

Bill especially had a brilliant time, saying it was “amazing” and not like any museum he’d been to before.

These little outings that make such a big difference; teaching us more about the world we grew up in.

A St George’s Day out for our residents at The Abbeys! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

We headed down to our local church for a wonderful afternoon of celebration. We caught up with friends from the community and had lots of lovely conversation over a cuppa.
