Our Urgent and Emergency Care Centre is very busy. Don't let an avoidable injury ruin your evening.

The amber heat-health alert for extreme heat remains in place due to the very high temperatures expected this week.

Please take simple steps to stay safe:

➡Drink plenty of fluids, unless a healthcare professional has advised you otherwise.
➡Keep out of direct sun where possible.
➡Keep your home as cool as you can.
➡Check in on older relatives, neighbours and anyone who may need extra support.

If you or someone else feels seriously unwell, use NHS 111 online or call 111. In an emergency, call 999.

We would like to inform you that the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (now called Gynaecology Same Day Emergency Care) is changing its telephone opening times for self referrals.

You can now call Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 10:30am (excluding bank holidays). During these hours, your call will be answered by a nurse who will be able to provide appropriate advice.

If you need advice outside these hours, please refer to our self assessment guidance available on our website.

If you feel your situation is an emergency or you need to be seen urgently on the same day, please go to A&E. For non urgent advice, please contact your GP or Midwife.

If you are already under our care, you can contact our inpatient ward, B11, at 01709 424349, which is open 24 hours a day.
