Stopping Clutter at the Door #1:
Impulse Buying
🛍️ Do you get sucked in by the lure of a discount and won over by the seductive glow of a bargain?
🛍️ Do you grab more than you need when you shop?
🛍️ Do you go in for 4 items and come out with 14?
🛍️ Do you buy extras on websites and apps just because they look good and promise to make you feel good?!
All these additional, unnecessary and often unwanted items soon become clutter, eating up your space and melting away your peace in your own home.
If so, it’s time to harness that habit and overcome your impulsivity.
Try These -
🛒 Shop to a list -
get what you went in the shop for,
and nothing more.
🛒 Carry and pay with cash for a month. It’s amazing what handing over shrapnel and watching your budget deplete will do to the depth of your pockets! ✨
🛒 Avoid the discount zones, the bargain aisle-ends and the Aisles of Surprise. You DO NOT NEED that extra stuff!
🛒 Avoid scrolling on apps whose sole aim is to suck you in to spending.
If you don’t spot it, you’re less likely to buy it.
🛒 If you think you need something,
pop it in a bag on the website and leave it.
After a week you may decide you don’t need it after all.
🛒 If spontaneous purchasing online is a real problem, delete apps until you need them.
Download to use, delete to avoid overusing them.
Let me know how you get on with these.
