Our beautiful Laura went to Church this morning where she met up with her mum and step dad.

Because we were so close to Our Cow Molly, it would have been rude not to pop there for an ice cream....... so we did!

The weather and views were just beautiful. The ice cream wasn't bad either!

How do you celebrate National Lighthouse Day when you don't live near a lighthouse?

Well, at Greenside Court, Paige, Dave S, Joe, Pete, Tim and Dave S painted their own lighthouses with the help of Mirjam, Amy G and Glynne! Joe helped by also taking the crafting equipment around to different people for them.

They have been turned into lovely lights with the help of some LED tealights. Well done, guys!

Oh what a night!!!

Ricky, Dave B and Julie went to the Rotherham Gateway Disco last night. They let Dawn, Mirjam and Glynne come along and Dave B met up with his brother and Jo too!

Julie had a lovely pamper and had her nails, hair and makeup done beforehand. We think she looks beautiful.

We may not have won the bingo or raffle, but we won the best night out in ages! There was dancing, music, meeting new friends and, boy, was there fun!

It might have been our first time there, but it certainly won't be our last!

It's all been about puzzles games today here at Greenside!!

Dave S is loving doing jigsaws at the moment so Jayne, our Home Manager, only went and got him a table for it! We think he's rather pleased with it. 🥰

Mirjam and Dawn Mitchell then made a game of ....... well, we don't know what it was called but it was fun! The aim of the game was to tilt the box so that the ball went into one of the slots for points.

Pete, Ricky, Tim, Elaine, Julie, Joe, Dave B, Dave S, Adam B, Adam M and Pauline all had a go at getting the most points. Adam B won that one with 70 points!!

Jayne, Caroline, Amy, Emma, Mirjam, Mark and Dawn also had a go with Jayne being the winner of the staff with 80 points!!!!

We said goodbye to our lovely Student Nurse, Bonnie, yesterday.

She has been with us for a few weeks and is now into her next chapter in her Nursing career.

We will miss you, Bonnie, and wish you all good things for the future. You're going to be an amazing Nurse.

Our first Breakfast Club happened today!

Baps, Bacon and Brews is officially open! Our new member of the Activities Team, Mirjam, got stuck in on her first shift as a Coordinator to assist Adam B to cook up some lovely bacon and mushrooms. Dawn didn't get off lightly either and did her share!

Staff really enjoyed their sarnies, done just the way they like them - crispy!

Adam even did delivery service to one of our Nurses, Tiff, to make sure she had one too! He also made sure everyone had sauce if they wanted it.

We had some very full tummies this morning!

Our lovely Julie and Pauline visited New Beginnings in York today to meet some of the ex race horses that live there whilst they readjust to life after racing.

They also met up with friends from Bennett Court - Exemplar Health Care and we have to give a big thank you to Tracy for telling us about it!

They both had an amazing time and can't wait for the next visit!! Both Pauline and Julie have always loved horses so this was such a great day for them both.

Another Cooking with Clare session today got the taste buds going!

Steak Bake and Scotch Eggs were the order of the day. Adam B, Joe and our lovely Elaine all helped and they made everything from scratch.

There were some full bellys around at the end, that's for sure!

Elaine is a little camera shy so there aren't any photos of her, but you can see how much fun was had!

We have a celebration here at Greenside Court!!

Rachel, a long-standing member of staff, has now graduated as a fully-qualified Nurse, class of 2026!

Rachel joined Greenside Court as a Health Care Assistant before becoming a Team Leader. She then became Head of the Domestic Team before starting studying to be a Nurse. The Trainee Nurse Associate position was then hers and now it's Nurse!

What a ladder climb! Rachel has worked really hard for this position and thoroughly deserves it. Adam B presented her with some flowers from us just as she starts her night shift.

Well done, Rachel! 🎉🍾
