We've been pumpkin carving here at Greenside Court.

Dave S and Adam B helped Mirjam and Dawn Mitchell yesterday and did The Cheshire Cat, Spongebob Squarepants' house and a Harry Potter themed npumpkin yesterday.

Dawn then did some pumpkins today for those who are unable to but she themed them for them. Elaine got a cute ghost because she's a cutie and it was a ghost pumpkin, Mel has a Northern Soul pumpkin and Julie has a horse!

We've had a lot of fun making them and we hope you all enjoy looking at iour creations!

We celebrated World Values Day today at Greenside Court.

The theme this year was centered around values and volunteering. With this in mind, Dave S volunteered to put his own washing away and Dave B volunteered to help our with our Halloween decorations. We can't show too much of that because it's a surprise for our Carnevil event. Oooooooooh. 🫣

Joe also volunteered his time to help Rob check the oil etc on our minibus and put some screen wash fluid in.

Thank you to all our Tribute Volunteers! You wore your badge with pride!

Although we only picked it from a box in Morrisons it still classes as picking them up, right?!

Steak anyone?

That's what our gorgeous Mark had for his birthday yesterday!

Mark loves a good steak so we asked if he would like a really good one for his birthday. He chose to go to Miller and Carter and had a fillet mignon. They also gave him a free dessert, but we didn't manage a picture of that. 😁

Mark met up with his daughter which was great to see. We had a good chinwag, catch up and good food! You can't ask for much more, right?

Gosh, what a wonderful couple of days!

Our beautiful Julie went to the first day of the Horse of the Year Show in Birmingham yesterday. She also let Mirjam and Dawn Mitchell come along too!

They stayed overnight in the Aloft by Marriott Eastside and enjoyed a lovely evening meal. They then got an early night and filled up in breakfast ready for a full day at BP Pulse Live to watch the shows! 🐎 Julie had her nails done begot going to bed and then Mirjam did her hair and make up before we set off.

Julie used to go to the HOYS regularly before coming to Greenside Court - Exemplar Health Care so it was wonderful to be able to take her again. We don't do "can't" here at Greenside!

A night away, show jumping, a wander around the retailers and even a Dog Agility competition which we think Dawn enjoyed a little bit too much! 🐕 All in all a wonderful couple of days!

What a lovely way for one of our Student Nurses to day fare thee well to us!

Chimeze has been with us for a few weeks now and goes away with a wealth of knowledge from nurses, staff and the people who call Greenside home.

It's been wonderful having him around and we shall miss him!

He gave us some lovely treats and a wonderful card before he left. We promise we have him some presents too before he left but we forgot to take pictures of them!

Our winner of the 100% attendance this month was our lovely Faye!!!

Each month we'll be celebrating one of our colleagues' 100% attendance. Each colleague who has been there on shift each time will go into a draw and win a prize!

Adam B and Alex smashed it out of the park again at the Social Work Convention today in Manchester!

They presented their life stories and how they ended up being looked after by Exemplar Health Care. They spoke about the care they receive and how being listened to and having a say in their care and every day lives makes such an difference to their wellbeing and how they feel about day to day life.

They are such an inspiration to us and we're not the only ones who think that. They had a number of attendees come up to them following their presentations to say how their stories and what they had to say had impacted how they now see things and how they will take this forward into their working lives.

Well done you guys. We're so proud of you. You even got Dawn and Mirjam staying quiet and listening. No mean feat!!! Seriously, you were amazing!

Well, it's fair to say that it was a successful Macmillan Cancer Support Afternoon!!!

We had visits from family and friends and enjoyed some blooming good cake!

Oh, and we managed to raise £162 in the process! Yay!!

Thank you to everyone who came, baked and ate! Big thanks too to Adam B and Dave S for cooking the biscuits. Yum!

Just a reminder that our Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Afternoon is tomorrow from 2.00 pm - 5.00 pm.

It would be lovely to see some of our followers, family and friends so come down, have a cuppa, cake and a natter and let's raise some funds for a fab cause!
