Summer is the perfect time for kids to swap screens for sunshine! Whether it's riding bikes, playing at the park, kicking a football, dancing in the garden, or exploring nature, every little bit of movement helps build stronger bodies, happier minds, and lasting memories.

💚 Aim for at least 60 minutes of active play every day—it doesn't have to happen all at once. The most important thing is to have fun!

Awareness Day 24/7 /

Samaritans is a charity that prevents su***de through the power of human connection, and Samaritans Awareness Day takes place on the 24th of July to highlight the fact that they are available to listen 24/7 and to raise awareness and funds.

You can help by donating or fundraising to help keep their call centres open and staffed by highly-trained volunteers. There are lots of fundraising ideas and resources on their website

Or you can visit their volunteering page

to get involved as a regular fundraiser, support the work of Samaritans in other ways, or even become a volunteer listener yourself.

Samaritans Awareness Day is on 24 July because we’re here to listen 24/7. Help us raise awareness and funds to prevent su***de today. Because tomorrow could be too late.

🚧 Building Works at the Practice – Starting Monday 13th July🚧

We'd like to let all our patients know that building work will begin on the ground floor at Morthen Road Surgery from Monday 13th July. The work is expected to last for approximately 3 months.

During this time, there will be occasions when access to the practice and parking in our car park is restricted. We kindly ask that you allow a little extra time when attending your appointment.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these important improvements are carried out. We'll do everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum and ensure the practice remains open and accessible throughout the works.

Thank you for bearing with us – we look forward to welcoming you to an improved practice once the work is complete.
