Fun Friday Fact: Your feet can change size as you get older 👣📏

Did you know your shoe size may not stay the same throughout your adult life?

Over time, the structures supporting the feet can gradually change, which may cause
them to become slightly longer or wider.

A few quick facts:
👣 The arches may lower gradually over time
📏 Feet can become wider as ligaments and soft tissues change
👟 Shoes that perfectly fitted a few years ago may eventually feel tight
🦶 Changes in weight, activity levels and pregnancy can also affect foot shape

That is why it is worth having both feet measured occasionally, rather than automatically buying the same shoe size every time.

Fun Friday Fact: Why do your toes wrinkle in water? 👣💧

Have you ever noticed your toes going wrinkly after a bath, shower, or swim?
It is not just because the skin is “soaking up water”. Those little wrinkles are part of your body’s response to being wet.

A few quick facts:
💧 Wrinkly toes may help improve grip on wet surfaces
🧠 The response is linked to the nerves in your skin
🛁 It usually happens after your feet have been in water for a while
👣 If skin stays wet for too long, it can become soft, fragile, and more prone to rubbing

It is a fun reminder that feet are clever, but they still like to be dried properly, especially between the toes.
