Gaia Yin Yoga

Gaia Yin Yoga If you’re looking for a relaxing yoga class in Rugby, these floor-based yin yoga sessions are designed to help you find inner peace and improve wellbeing.

My name is Rachel, I’m a yin yoga teacher, qualified in June 2025. I’ve been practising yin yoga for 5 years and it has helped me to recover from chronic illness. Practising yin yoga has helped me to take time for myself to calm my nervous system and rebalance. I am an active person who enjoys walking, cycling, running, swimming, hatha/vinyasa yoga and pilates. I used to be on the go all of the ti

me and found it difficult to switch off when it was time to sleep. I have learnt to balance activities with periods of rest and recovery. Yin yoga has formed part of my practice daily as well as meditation and breathwork.

🥰 Are you ready to dedicate just one hour to you?

Dedicating time for self-care is a wonderful way to build healthy habits, and a mindful yin yoga class is the perfect space to do just that. It is a gentle, somatic, floor-based practice where we hold poses in stillness for a few minutes with prop support, targeting deep connective tissue to release tension and allow the nervous system to reset.

Benefits include:
✨ Lowered heart rate & blood pressure
✨ Reduced physical & mental tension
✨ Improved flexibility & range of movement
✨ Restored energy levels

Class Details & Pricing:
🎟️ £6 intro offer for new students (use code TASTER50)
🎟️ £12 drop-in rate (savings available for block bookings)
📍 Classes in central Rugby & Hillmorton
🧘 Small class sizes (limited spaces available)
🌱 Suitable for all levels — no flexibility or prior experience required, with gentle modifications offered throughout.

🌿 Help shape the future of community wellbeing in Rugby🌿

At Gaia Yin Yoga, I believe that having the space to slow down, rest, and recover should be accessible to everyone. That’s why I am currently applying for grant funding to bring subsidised, affordable yin yoga classes to our local Rugby community and the surrounding area.

To help apply for this funding, grant providers need to see evidence of local need and demand, and that is where I would love your help. 🙏

Whether you are:
✨ Looking to enhance your general wellbeing and everyday self-care
✨ Managing high stress, burnout, or day-to-day mental exhaustion
✨ Navigating perimenopause or menopause symptoms or
✨ Looking for gentle, floor-based yoga to soothe an overstimulated nervous system..your voice matters!

Please take 5 minutes to complete this short, 10-question anonymous community survey. Every response helps build a stronger case for local wellbeing support.

Thank you for reading. Please feel free to share this post or send the link to any friends, family, or colleagues in the Rugby area who might also benefit. ❤️

With gratitude,
Rachel 🙏

I've just completed a course called Applied Polyvagal Theory for Yoga Professionals.
I learnt about Polyvagal Theory as devised by Stephen Porges and the correlation with Ayurvedic medicine.
Polyvagal Theory and Ayurveda teach about the different tendencies in humans, states of mind and how actions/habits can be used to change nervous system states.
This course reinforced how important it is to spend time with yourself to notice what is going on at any particular time, to be present and allow things to pass rather than pushing through.
My weekly yin classes are here for those of you who want to dedicate an hour of yoga practice to yourself to spend time mindfully. We practice with ahimsa, which means non violence, no force or effort needed.
Yin stretches are held in stillness for 3-4 mins to allow the body and the deep connective tissues to adjust and reset and the mind to anchor.
Benefits include energy recovery, healing and better sleep.
