Room Available at Merrydale! 🏠

We have a lovely upstairs room with en-suite toilet available at Merrydale, with a peaceful outlook & natural light

Because of it's upstairs location, this room would be particularly well suited to someone who does not require a secure ground-floor environment, we have a stair climbing chair available to assist with access between floors 😊

It is a bright, comfortable room with a homely feel, and a lovely view!

We're Hiring! - Bank / Temporary Night Staff

Here at Merrydale we are looking for caring, reliable and experienced night staff to join our team on a bank / temporary basis for a minimum of 6 months

Night Shifts - 8pm - 8am

We are particularly interested in applicants who -

✅Hold an NVQ 3 in Health & Social Care
✅Have experience working as a Senior Carer
✅ Are medication trained and confident in administering medication
✅Have experience in residential care
✅Are compassionate, dependable and committed to providing high quality care

The role is initially to provide cover for at least 6 months, with the possibility of a permanent position!

Carnival Day at Merrydale 🍧🌭

The weather may not have brought the sunshine, but it certinly didn't dampen our spirits!

Residents, families & staff enjoyed an afternoon filled with music, laughter, games, treats and plenty of carnival fun!

It was so wonderful to see everyone coming together, making memories and enjoying each others company!

A HUGE thank you to Maurice, and to everyone who helped to organise, support and attend the event! Days like this are what make Merrydale such a special place to call home 🥰

As we prepare to mark D-Day, our residents have been busy creating decorations, painting stones, colouring flags, and sharing memories of a generation that changed the course of history 🌺

This year is particularly special as we remember Commander Mike Crosley DSC & Bar, a distinguished Fleet Air Arm pilot and D-Day veteran, through the memories and stories shared by his wife Joan.

A huge thank you to Debbie and all of our residents for helping to create such a thoughtful display ❤️
