A local community Charity which supports both Rye Memorial Hospital and operates a community hub delivering health services for the local community in Rye and the surrounding area.

Following the successful Change of Charity Name Open Day on Tuesday, our page will be merged with the Hub on Rye Hill page under the new name of Rye Health and Care. This will happen over the next couple of days so please bear with us during this transition period.

There will be no changes to the services available at our Hub or at Rye Memorial Hospital, you will just receive updates from both under the new name.

After a hectic weekend of events, we are pleased to announce that between St Mary's Church Fair and our Winchelsea Open Gardens Charity Day, a grand total of £1,250 was raised. A huge thank you to all those who volunteered over the weekend and of course, to the wonderful Winchelsea gardeners who shared their fabulous gardens with our visitors.

Don't forget to pop along to our Charity Open Day next Tuesday at our Hub for more information about our change of name and also how our fundraising is being used.

Our CEO was delighted to be invited to the East Sussex Women of the Year luncheon on Friday 15th May at the Amex Stadium. Charlotte Kneer MBE said, “The lunch was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the contributions from women across East Sussex”. Charlotte met Dame Jacqueline Wilson GBE (pictured) who gave a keynote speech.

Join us in honouring the incredible contributions of volunteers who make our communities stronger every day.

We'd like to say a special thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers, who collectively give up an astonishing amount of their own time to help in so many areas of our Charity's operations. Their dedication is invaluable and always greatly appreciated.

Thank you to everyone who came along to support our Quiz Night last Friday at the Mermaid Inn. It was another evening of frivolity, laughter and a huge amount of raffle prizes! Our quizmasters, Graham and Tracey, posed some tricky questions and several teams fell at the final Wipeout round. Congratulations to the first and second place teams! Particular congratulations to the third place team who battled it out in a three way tie break.

The evening raised an incredible £370 towards the cost of a new mobility aid for the In Patient ward at our Hospital.

We hope to see you all again at our next quiz night (date tbc) but if you fancy flexing your intellectual muscles again later this month, please sign up for the FAiR quiz night on Friday 22nd May at the Mermaid Inn (email [email protected] or [email protected] for more details).
