Inger Madsen: Helping families be happy again

Inger Madsen: Helping families be happy again I'm Inger and I help families be happy again. Very often they've already tried to find help but without success.

Helping families be happy again I do this by working with children and teenagers who are anxious or angry and whose parents have become afraid that this is more than just a phase or a normal part of childhood and growing up. Through working with the child I help parents get their happy, well-adjusted child and their peace of mind back.

You asked four times.
Calmly at first. Then with an edge. Then in a way you immediately wished you could take back.

And when they did that thing - the eye roll, the silence, the door - something fired in you that was bigger than the moment deserved. You weren't just annoyed, you were flooded and before your thinking brain had a chance to catch up, it was already out of your mouth.

Here's what I want you to know: that reaction has almost nothing to do with what just happened.
It's older than your teenager.
Faster than thought.
And it will keep happening until you understand what it actually is.

That's what my free video series is for. Link below 😊

Last night a parent told me, “It feels like we’re walking through an emotional minefield. One wrong word and one of us explode.”

Maybe you recognise that.

Shouting. Lecturing. Threatening. Storming out.

You know it doesn’t create change. But in the heat of the moment, it feels like the only thing available.

Here’s the thing.

Adolescence is not misbehaviour. It is a developmental storm. Hormonal. Neurological. Identity-forming. It requires leadership.
And leadership in parenting does not mean control.

It means emotional intelligence.
It means regulating yourself first.
It means responding on purpose instead of reacting on impulse.

As an Energy Psychology Practitioner and Emotions Education expert, I see this every week. Parents who have consciously decided not to use shame, blame or anger… yet find themselves reverting to those old ways when they feel scared or powerless.
That is not failure. That is unprocessed emotion.

Parent Like a Leader: Raise the Future is a seven-week course designed to help you become the parent you actually want to be.
Emotionally steady. Strategic. Trustworthy.

You learn how emotions actually work.
How to repair when it goes wrong.
How to hold boundaries without constant battles.
And how to support your teenager’s self-worth so they can rise.

Calmer homes are built from regulated adults.

Tomorrow is the first Empowered Parenting Q&A Live - happening right here on Facebook.

It isn't a talk or a lecture. There won't be any slides. I'll just be answering real parenting questions.

The sibling rows that never end.
The teen who’s shut the door - literally or emotionally.
The anxiety, the tears, the constant firefighting.
The feeling that you’re trying so hard and still getting nowhere.

This is the work I’ve done for over 20 years - helping families be happy again by understanding what emotions are actually doing, and how to lead with calm rather than control.

👉 There's still time to email or DM me your questions and I hope you can join me live at 1pm!

Ever notice how your emotions behave exactly like your teenager’s? Loud. Illogical. Needy. That was my past fortnight - pride about my course, joy in Denmark, fear about a missing cat, overwhelm buying an EV, and yes… a small spiral after seeing myself on ITV.

Here’s the truth: emotions are toddlers. Ours and theirs. They don’t need fixing. They need attention.

Guess who made it on to the ITV news?! 😀
This week I was asked by ITV Anglia for my opinion on schools trialling 'robot replacements' to help tackle issues with classroom anxiety.
Here's the clip...
