We had the pleasure of welcoming Raj Senniappan from Therapies on Thames- Rehabilitation matters for elderly to deliver an engaging and interactive Parkinson’s Rehabilitation Workshop for our team and the wider community. 💙🧠

Raj covered some really important topics, including:

🧠 Understanding Parkinson’s and the challenges it can bring
🚶 The role of Physiotherapy in mobility, balance and fall prevention
🏡 The role of Occupational Therapy in daily living, routines and adaptive strategies

It was a fantastic and informative session, with lots of great questions, open conversations and people sharing their own experiences. 💬❤️

Supper Club – Indian Night! 🇮🇳

What started as a brilliant idea from our residents has now become a reality — and their Supper Club was a huge success!

We enjoyed a delicious Indian-themed evening, starting with samosas, onion bhajis, poppadoms and a fantastic selection of chutneys, followed by an assortment of tasty curries… including a Madras!

One resident’s reaction to the Madras? “I need milk, now!”

With great food, Indian beers, music and plenty of laughter, it was a wonderful evening shared together.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make our first Supper Club such a memorable night. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

What a lovely, relaxing way to start the morning! Our residents enjoyed a cosy Tea & Tabloids session, with plenty of tea, biscuits, magazines and newspapers to enjoy.

Bubbles, Music & Happy Times!

Our residents had a wonderfully fun time enjoying the magic of bubbles! 🫧 There were lots of smiles and laughter as everyone watched the bubbles float around and tried their best to pop them!

Then it was time to turn up the music and get dancing! Such a lovely atmosphere filled with music, movement, laughter and plenty of happy memories.

A Birthday Celebration to Remember!

One of our lovely residents had a wonderful birthday get-together with friends and family in the garden. Surrounded by loved ones, sunshine, laughter and happy memories, it was the perfect way to celebrate her special day.

And what better way to celebrate than with Prosecco and cake! A beautiful birthday cake was lovingly made by our own brilliant chef — and it looked absolutely delicious!

Make It, Munch It!

What better way to spend time together than getting creative in the kitchen? Our residents had a fantastic time making their very own Eton Mess — and, of course, the best part was sitting down together to munch it!

There were plenty of smiles, tasty treats and great conversations along the way. A lovely session enjoyed by all!

Our Community High Tea at Three was a wonderful success yesterday! 💐☕🍰

We were delighted to welcome so many lovely ladies from our local community to join our residents for an afternoon of delicious cake, freshly brewed tea, and wonderful company. 💛

With the glorious sunshine, beautiful classical music playing in the background, and new friendships blossoming, it truly was a perfect afternoon. 🌞🎻✨

We can't wait to do it all again!

We recently had the absolute pleasure of welcoming members of the u3a UK into our home to thank them for inviting us to speak at one of their meetings a little while ago. 💙

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with sunshine, bubbles, music, laughter, and great conversation. 🥂🎶☀️ Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to mingle, share stories, and make new friendships in such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

It was especially lovely to discover that several of our residents had previously been members of the U3A themselves. They thoroughly enjoyed reminiscing about their experiences and reconnecting with familiar interests. ❤️

The visit also sparked lots of exciting ideas for future collaborations. We discussed welcoming different U3A groups into the home to share their talents, whether through painting sessions, crafts, music, talks, or other forms of entertainment and learning. We are so looking forward to building these connections and creating even more meaningful experiences for our residents.

A huge thank you to everyone from the U3A who joined us—we hope this is just the beginning of a fantastic partnership! We can't wait to welcome you back again soon. 😊
