Take a minute and close your eyes..
Take yourself back to a summer of your childhood that you fondly remember, do you remember a particular trip to the seaside?

The gentle clapping of the waves, sand between your feet, families laughing and the smell of the sea breeze (or if you were lucky chips!)

We had a lovely visit from Tea & Memories where we discussed holidays and the seaside

🤠 What a Rootin' Tootin' Cowboy / Country and Western Day! 🤠

We had a wonderful time enjoying our Cowboy / Country and Western Day at Strathmore Lodge.

Our residents and staff really entered into the spirit of the occasion, with cowboy hats, bandanas, plenty of laughter and some fantastic country and line dancing.

It was lovely to see everyone joining in, enjoying the music and having such fun together.

There were certainly some impressive moves on the dance floor, proving that you are never too old to put on your dancing shoes!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day so enjoyable.

🤠 Yeehaw! What a fantastic Country and Western Day we had at Strathmore Lodge! 🌵🐴

Our residents and staff enjoyed a wonderful, fun-filled day of music, dancing, delicious food and plenty of Wild West laughter.

We put on our dancing boots and kicked things off with some lively line dancing 🤠 before tucking into a cowboy-style feast of hot dogs, creamy mashed potato and barbecue beans. This was followed by warm apple pie and custard, all washed down with root beer!🌭🫘🥧

Everyone also had the chance to taste some beef jerky🥓 before taking part in our cowboy games, including water-pistol target practice with willing staff and residents, Tin Can Alley and horseshoes! 🔫🥫🐎There were smiles, laughter and a little friendly competition throughout the day!

It was wonderful to see everyone joining in and making happy memories together. A brilliant day was had by all, with plenty of smiles, laughter and wonderful memories made. ❤️

Residents enjoyed armchair travel to France last week..

They had croissants and coffee for breakfast…
For lunch they had coq au vin, ratatouille, Escargot 🐌( snail to you and me ) quiche …
Then to our favourite subject PUDDING!! Pudding was all different cheeses, wine and Tarte Tatin with creme anglais (custard) .

We then had a discussion about France and also did a quiz and word search. A lovely day was had by all.
