North Wales Foot Care provides professional foot health treatment to individuals in their own homes throughout the local area. Asaph, was established in 2011 and has over

five years of experience in the domiciliary care sector. The owner, Michael Calvert, graduated from the Stonebridge College with an advanced diploma as a Foot Health Practitioner in Spring 2011, and is a member of the Alliance of Foot Health Practitioners. North Wales Foot Care treats a wide range of foot related problems such as corns, callus, nail cutting, fungal and thickened nails and verrucas. North Wales Foot Care has an expanding network of clients, situated throughout North Wales, including the local council, care agencies and private customers. Due to Michael's background in the social care sector, he has extensive experience dealing with customers who have special needs such as learning disabilities, the elderly and the physically disabled. With state of the art, hygienic equipment and fully qualified and friendly staff, the company delivers a tailored foot care service to its clients. The service is intended to relieve foot related problems in the comfort of the home environment, enabling customers to improve their mobility and well being. The company was designed to be a better access for health care, avoiding long waiting lists and to be an outreach to those who have may not have access to this particular service.

It really is a family affair! ❤️🎨

The newest members of the decorating team have been hard at work helping us get our new clinic ready! 🖌️

Isabella and Luca rolled up their sleeves, grabbed a paintbrush, and got stuck in. It’s been lovely seeing everyone mucking in to help bring our new home to life.

As for Sarah… we’re still not entirely convinced about her choice of headwear to keep the paint out of her hair! 😂 You’ll have to let us know what you think!

North Wales Foot Care has always been a family business, and this new clinic is very much a family project too. We can’t wait to open the doors and welcome you all soon.

☀️ Don’t Forget the Sun Cream… on Your Feet! 👣

When the sun comes out, most people remember their face, shoulders and arms, but feet are often forgotten!

The tops of your feet can burn surprisingly quickly, especially when wearing sandals, flip-flops or walking barefoot. Sunburned feet can become painful, swollen and make walking uncomfortable for days.

✅ Apply sunscreen to the tops of your feet and around your ankles
✅ Reapply after swimming or sweating
✅ Don’t forget areas exposed by sandal straps
✅ Protect children’s feet too

A little extra care can help keep your feet healthy and comfortable all summer long.

Learning Disability Week 2026

At North Wales Foot Care, we are proud to support many people with learning disabilities across North Wales.

Several members of our team, including myself, have backgrounds in support work, and working with people who have additional needs is a part of our role that we genuinely enjoy.

We regularly work alongside families, support providers, learning disability nurses, social workers and care teams to help people access the foot care they need.

We understand that for some individuals, having their feet treated can feel daunting or overwhelming. That’s why we take the time to work at the person’s pace, building trust and confidence. Sometimes that means using gradual desensitisation techniques and short visits to help someone become comfortable with the process before treatment is even needed.

Our aim is to ensure that if a foot problem develops in the future, the person feels safe, confident and able to receive the care they need.

Every individual is different, and we believe everyone deserves foot care delivered with patience, understanding and respect.

Happy Learning Disability Week to all the individuals, families, carers, support workers, nurses and social workers who make such a difference every day.
