✨ DID YOU KNOW? ✨

I don’t just treat little ones who are struggling with their physical milestones! As a children’s physiotherapist, I treat all children - usually up to 16 years old!

Lots of children do have pain, either following an injury, or most commonly - due to growth! The most common places children complain of pain are knees, hips and lower back. Despite what some health professionals might say - they’re not just ‘growing pains’, and physiotherapy can help!

Here’s some lovely reviews from parents (and children!) who I’ve helped recently ✨

Did you know...

⚡️Most cases of knee pain in children are related to a congenital (present from birth), or a growth related pathology.
⚡️In the adolescent growth spurt, the legs grow the fastest!
⚡️ Most of the growth in the adolescent growth spurt comes from the bottom of the thigh bone (the femur) and top of the lower leg bone (the tibia) - these bones make up the knee joint!

⚡️So it’s not surprising that we see lots of teenagers (and younger children) with knee pain, as this rapid growth also impacts the muscles surrounding the knee. This can make their normal activities and hobbies more difficult, and painful! 💥

There is good news though! Physiotherapy can help!
If your child is struggling with knee pain get in touch to discuss it further!
