We always love a visit from Ewan. Every month Ewan visits Oakfield Croft to amaze us all with his songs on the piano. 🎹 Coffee, Cake and beautiful music! What a wonderful morning. ☕️🧁

🌵🤠 Texas BBQ Day! 🤠🌵

What a fantastic day we had, all dressed up in our best western wear! 👢🐎

🍖 12pm: A delicious Texas BBQ prepared by our Head Chef, Paul.
💃 1pm: We got our boots moving with some fantastic line dancing!
🎤 2pm: We enjoyed the wonderful Berni Stubbs singing for us.
🐴 3pm: A lovely visit from the Shetland ponies — the perfect way to finish the afternoon!

A huge thank you to Beth for putting it all together, and to Jenny for coming up with the brilliant idea. ❤️

👨🏻‍🌾And a massive thank you to Wythenshawe Community Farm & Shop for loaning some of there hay bales!

Just a little reminder that we have our Texas Theme BBQ coming up this Saturday!

🕺🏻 Line dancing to demonstrate and teach us some moves!

And of course we have our fabulous Chefs preparing and Cooking our Texas treats!

Today at Oakfield Croft we enjoyed a wonderful Taste of Home themed day! 🌍🍽️

This morning, Beth and Jenny got creative making delicious smoothies, including:

🍒 Cherry & Almond
🥭 Mango & Passion Fruit
🥕 Carrot & Ginger

This afternoon, our amazing chefs – Paul, Anna and Chris – treated everyone to a fantastic selection of dishes from around the world. Residents enjoyed flavours from:

To finish off a brilliant day, everyone was delighted by our fully stocked ice cream trolley, with a variety of ice cream flavours, tasty sauces and chocolate flakes – the perfect sweet treat! Served by Beth🍦✨

A huge thank you to Beth,Jenny, Paul, Anna, Chris and the Catering Team for making today such a memorable experience for everyone. ❤️

Today’s trip was to the Trafford Centre but this time it wasn’t for shopping or for there vast variety of coffee shops. ☕️

We enjoyed walking around taking in all the sights and information from our fantastic emergency services. 🚨

🐍 ZOOLABS 🕷️

It’s always such a treat to welcome ZooLabs. We had the great pleasure of meeting some rather weird and wonderful animals. From snakes, giant cockroaches, giant snails and even tarantulas!

We got to learn about each creature and had the opportunity to hold some of them.

Everyone really enjoyed the experience and some fears were conquered too!

We can’t wait for their next visit! 🐌

🌍 World Nature Conservation Day

Today is World Nature Conservation Day, a day to raise global awareness about protecting our natural resources, preserving biodiversity, and maintaining a healthy environment for future generations. 🌳

Here at our home, we’ve been doing our bit to support local wildlife by planting beautiful flowers in our garden, installing a bird table and bird bath, creating an aviary, and adding a hedgehog house to provide a safe space for our prickly visitors. 🐦🦔

Every small action helps to create a haven for nature. Together, we can make a positive difference and protect the world around us—one garden at a time. 🌼

Also a massive thank you to Ade Nutter who helped us dig up the garden. We couldn’t have done it without you! 💚
