Bit more taping at BJJ. After a couple of collisions we needed to tape to protect thumb joints from further sprain. Jiujitsu grip fighting can be difficult on the hand and finger joints especially if unintentionally getting injured.

Rest prescribed and gentle range when able!

Had a bit of taping going on recently. This is one of out lovely jiujitsu lads who currently has a bit of a sprain after putting his hand down on a funny angle on the mats.

He's not been put on rest as that's not realistic...tape it stabilise, choose partners wisely and rest after training.

Hello! I am Lauren, the owner of LH Massage MCR, welcome!

By day I am a Paediatric Physiotherapist working across many different specialties, by night I am a Trampoline Gymnast, Jiujitera, and British Sign Language student.

At LH Massage MCR we prioritise your health and wellbeing, tailoring all holistic interventions to your specific needs and rehab requirements.
Due to the background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Trampoline Gymnastics our assessments use specialist knowledge to guide sport related injury assessment and treatment. Despite this we are not exclusive to treating sports injuries, LH Massage MCR assesses everyone from sedentary office workers to international sports professionals.

We offer multiple treatment options: sports massage, rehab progression and exercise prescription, taping, and pre/post event massage.

For your convenience LH Massage MCR is a mobile business where you are treated in the comfort of your own space; you don’t have to find child care, travel to appointments, or worry about arriving on time.

Hello all! Hope you're all well!

As most of you are aware LH Massage MCR was looking at improving the business to be more useful to all who use it. Since fuel cost have rocketed and even more the materials used (creams, lotions, towels, etc) prices have had to increase.

Where possible prices have only increased by £5.

There's also services which before now haven't been advertised. Please have a look towards the rehab and taping if massage isn't suiting you and your needs.

Today's client is one of my lovely regulars.

Messaged me asking if I can see her for her shoulder blade area as its been giving her some grief. We assessed the scapular movement and timing and concluded that all was fine and no specific pathology present. Treated the tension areas and tight spots with a range of techniques.

As you can see lots of blood has gone to the area massaged, fingers crossed that will do the job!
