What do you think about removing a nail spike from an ingrown toenail?
In cases like this, the most important thing is to clean the area properly, find the source of pain and safely remove what is irritating the skin.
Sometimes a tiny nail spike can cause a really big problem.
And gel?
Do you think gel is a good idea in this situation?
Not always.
If the nail is painful, ingrown, irritated or there is inflammation around the nail fold, covering it with gel may make things worse. First, we need to solve the problem, calm the tissue down and only then think about aesthetics.
Nail health should always come before a temporary pretty look.
PS. The new nippers are amazing — precision really makes a difference.

I was scared.
I didn’t feel ready.
Part of me didn’t even want to do it.
But I did it anyway.
And now… it’s actually happening.
Stay with me and watch this journey, because dreams really do come true when you finally decide to be brave enough to follow them.

We don’t need nail polish anymore.
Look at the effect after proper nail cleaning and preparation.
This is the result after 4 months — and honestly… isn’t it starting to look normal again?
There is still a little way to go, but this is exactly why patience, consistency and the right professional care matter.
When the nail is properly cleaned, protected and supported with the correct home care, we can give it a much better chance to grow in a healthier direction.
No covering.
No hiding.
Just real progress.
4 months of work — and the nail is finally starting to tell a different story.

Don’t be embarrassed on holiday.
Fungal nail infection is more common than many people think. Studies estimate that fungal toenail infection affects around 4–5.5% of the general population, and the number is higher in some groups, including older adults and people with diabetes or reduced immunity.
So if you are hiding your feet, avoiding sandals or feeling ashamed — please know, you are not alone.
In the clinic, we do not judge.
We help.
Fungal nails can feel like a very embarrassing problem, but the first appointment is often the moment when you finally stop guessing and start fighting it properly.
We assess the nail, the skin, the possible causes, your routine, footwear and home care. Sometimes professional cleaning is needed. Sometimes testing is recommended. Sometimes the skin needs treatment too.
This is not about shame.
This is about taking the first step, getting the right support and giving yourself the confidence to start the process.
Don’t hide your feet forever.
Let’s make a plan and work on it together.

Not every nail discolouration means fungal infection.
This is so important.
A yellow, white, brown or lifted nail does not automatically mean “fungus”. Nail discolouration can be caused by trauma, pressure, old bruising, product damage, onycholysis, psoriasis, staining, overfiling, medication, health conditions or many other factors.
And when the diagnosis is wrong, the treatment is wrong too.
Using antifungal products when there is no fungal infection may not help at all. In some cases, it can dry the nail plate, irritate the surrounding skin and make the nail look even worse.
Please don’t waste money trying every pharmacy product or home remedy without knowing what you are actually treating.
The nail needs proper assessment first.
Sometimes you need professional cleaning.
Sometimes you need a mycology test.
Sometimes you need nail protection and time.
Sometimes the problem is not fungal at all.
See a specialist, get the nail assessed properly and choose the right plan for your case.
Because healthy nail care starts with the right diagnosis.

Smart Shape reconstruction is not only about comfort.
It can also help support the nail while the new nail plate is growing, giving it better protection, a better shape and a better chance to grow in the right direction.
This is conscious reconstruction.
Not just “covering” the nail.
Not just making it look pretty.
But understanding what the nail needs, choosing the right technique and supporting the regrowth process safely.
And today I heard one sentence that honestly gave me so much confidence:
“My nails have never looked like this before… and they’ve never had this healthy pink colour.”
This is exactly why I love what I do.
Because sometimes reconstruction is not only about appearance.
It’s about confidence.
It’s about protection.
It’s about helping the client feel comfortable again.
And it’s about supporting the nail on its journey to healthy regrowth.
Smart Shape — beautiful, conscious and supportive reconstruction.
