A gentle reminder for all parents and parents-to-be 💕
We’re so pleased that our maternity hubs, including the new Stonehenge Hub in Amesbury, are being well used and valued by families.
To ensure you get the right care at the right time:
👉 Maternity hubs are for pre-booked appointments only
👉 We are not able to offer drop-in checks
If you have any concerns about your baby’s movements or wellbeing, please do not hesitate to contact Triage directly on 01722 425185.
They will be able to assess you promptly and make sure you receive the most appropriate care.
We know it can feel reassuring to seek a quick check, but the hospital unit is the safest place for any urgent concerns.

We are pleased to share that the Labour Ward at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is undergoing a refurbishment to enhance the environment for our patients and staff. This includes fresh paintwork, new flooring, and updated blinds — all part of a planned improvement programme.
While these works are underway, there may be some temporary disruption or increased noise for those attending the Labour Ward. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and would like to thank you for your patience and understanding.
Our teams will continue to work hard to ensure care and safety remain our top priorities throughout the refurbishment.

Nestlé has taken the precautionary step of recalling several SMA Infant Formula and Follow-On Formula because they may contain cereulide toxin.

The possible presence of cereulide (toxin) makes these products unsafe to consume.
Cereulide is a toxin produced by some strains of Bacillus cereus. Cereulide is highly heat stable meaning it is unlikely to be deactivated or destroyed by cooking, using boiling water or when making the infant milk. If consumed it can lead to rapid onset of symptoms.
Symptoms caused by this toxin include nausea, vomiting and abdominal cramps.
Even if you have not identified ill-health in your baby as a result of consumption of this product, it is essential to stop using it. If the infant formula or follow-on formula was prescribed by a health professional for your infant, consult a pharmacist or other medical professional before changing formula.
