A quick reminder of our schedule!

All classes are taught by Lisa Rich- 20 years experience, trained through the Pilates Foundation at castle Cary in 2010 for matwork then London in 2014 for full apparatus- there is much more to our method than just the reformer!

You can expect high quality teaching, as Joe and Clara Pilates expected it to be taught- appropriate corrections to enable to you meet your goals in a safe, friendly and relaxed environment.

At Inspired Pilates we want classes to be inclusive and not exclusive which is why our classes aren’t unaffordable! Fully insured, first aid trained, off road parking with our own 12 spaces so no trying to find a space, 2 reformers with towers which convert into caddilacs and a wunda chair, mat classes to chose from and you can wander down to the new teffont hotel afterwards for coffee, lunch or dinner (booking essential)

Over the past few months, Teffont House has been transforming in our little leafy village of Teffont Evias.

A big thank you to the Beckford group for mentioning my little Pilates studio not only on their website, but also in the times and the guardian!

Classes back on as normal next week!

Trial run of air con today made me realise that it probably needs to be on 24/7 which sadly is unaffordable!

Therefore it’s windows open, blinds closed and fans. Therefore please dress appropriately for the weather and bring water.

I’ll look into other options going forward.

At Inspired Pilates I always have the best interest of my lovely clients at heart.

This week has been tricky, but ultimately, when the studio is too hot and travel conditions are not the best- the safest thing to do is postpone classes so that you can all rest as best as possible at home.

Apologies for anyone who enjoys this heat, but also I cannot give you the best of me in classes as my brain has turned into scrambled egg!

See you at the studio next week… I’ll monitor conditions and hope to teach on Friday.

Just an FYI to all of my lovely clients taking these meds - stay well everyone!

Some medications can change how your body responds to heat and sun exposure. 🌞

Certain medications can affect how your body regulates temperature, controls blood flow, sweats, and stays hydrated. This can make it harder to cope with hot weather and increase the risk of dehydration, heat exhaustion, or, in severe cases, heatstroke. Other medications might make your skin more sensitive to the sun, meaning you need greater protection.

If you're taking regular medication, it's worth checking whether heat or sun exposure may affect you.

Continue taking your medication as prescribed, unless advised otherwise by a healthcare professional. Speak to your pharmacist or healthcare professional if you have any concerns.
