Salisbury Orthodontics is an established specialist orthodontic practice based in the town centre of Salisbury, Wiltshire. We specialise in all of the latest teeth straightening techniques including traditional braces, tooth coloured braces, Invisalign (clear removable aligners which straighten your teeth) and Incognito. Shannon joined Salisbury Orthodontics earlier this year, so is one of our newer members of staff!

Before joining our practice Shannon worked at a stables exercising race horses.

Episode 3 of Replacing Retainers: Do Not Throw Them Away 🗑️

A common reason why retainers need to be replaced is because they’ve accidentally been thrown in the bin. When you take your retainers out, make sure to place them somewhere safe, such as your retainer case, not in some tissue on the side. Otherwise someone may come along after you and accidentally sweep them away!

Tip top brushing is very important when going through orthodontic treatment, and we will always prioritise your oral health 🦷

Bad brushing can cause a build up of food and bacteria around the brace and this will damage the teeth over time 👎

If you’re unsure of how to care for your brace properly, feel free to ask at your next appointment, or see our reel on cleaning (highlighted on our stories) 🪥
