I’ve been teaching a few hypnobirthing refresher courses recently and it’s reminded me just how much I enjoy them.

The parents who come back already have a good understanding of hypnobirthing. They know the theory, have experienced birth before and often have a good sense of what worked well for them last time.

What they want is to build on that experience whilst preparing for whatever path this birth takes.

We can spend less time covering the foundations and more time honing techniques, adapting them to this pregnancy and birth, and adding a few more tools to their calm birth toolbox.

Every birth is different and every family is different, so even when it’s not your first baby, there’s still so much value in taking time to prepare.

Thank you to all the families who have worked with me over the years, recommended me to others and trusted me enough to come back again.

It brings me so much joy to work with expectant families and it’s something I never take for granted. Here’s to every family preparing for their next chapter. 💜
