What if fear is making you sicker than your diagnosis ?

World Bronchiectasis Day is approaching and as someone living with it, I know exactly what that diagnosis feels like.

Untreatable,
LIke a life sentence,
Scary,

What they don’t tell you is how much your mindset, your habits, and the story you tell yourself actually shape your health outcomes.

I went from living in fear of every cough around me, to trusting my body and learning to love life again.... this is the journey that led me to become a health coach.

Now I help others do the same, ditch the fear, understand their body, and take back control.

You don’t need to be fixed.

What if the goal was simply to understand what’s going on, beyond what you’ve been told, beyond the prescription?

I work with people who are ready to make sense of their symptoms, cut through the noise, and take steps that feel possible.

No guesswork. No one size fits all protocols. Just a real partner who sees the full picture, and helps you move forward in areas such as nutrition, overwhelm, movement and sleep in a way that actually works for YOUR body.

That’s exactly what I’m here for. 👇

The “perfect” textbook breakfast means nothing if it doesn’t work for YOUR body, YOUR energy, and YOUR mornings.

There’s no one size fits all. There’s only what works for YOU.

What did you have for breakfast this morning?

👉 How did you feel straight after?
👉 What about mid-morning? energy dip? Raiding the biscuit tin?
👉 Did you actually enjoy it?
👉 Did you even have time to make it?
👉 What were you doing while eating it?

These are the type of questions I ask the clients I work with.

Together we find what works for you, your body, your life 👇

You’d never dream of missing a dose of your hay fever meds…

So why is it so easy to skip taking just five minutes for you.

When you’re constantly juggling work, family, and everything in between, your nervous system doesn’t get a break.

It stays stuck in automatic pilot.

And that fight‑or‑flight state?

Most people know it increases cortisol…....
...but did you know it also INCREASES HISTAMINE
the chemical messenger behind your hay fever symptoms.

👉 More sneezing
👉 More itching
👉 More congestion
👉 More sensitivity to pollen
👉 Feeling like your body is reacting to everything

Yes, your medication helps, but if you don’t take steps to care for yourself, your symptoms may still be an issue.

You’ve got to take responsibility and move beyond the prescription.

What else can you do alongside your medication to support your body?

So today, and EVERY DAY, take time out.

👉 To pause
👉 To breathe
👉 To reset

✅ For your immune system
✅ For your nervous system
✅ For your body
✅ For you

Yes, your hay fever meds are essential.

But so is PRESSING PAUSE.

If this resonates, DM me, let’s explore what’s really driving your symptoms and how you can support your body beyond the prescription.

You’re running around doing all the things…
Ticking all the boxes…
Keeping life moving.
But are you actually pausing long enough to check in with your body.

It’s not just the “big” stress.
It’s the everyday overload that chips away at your capacity.

• Scrolling the moment you wake up
• Always being “on”
• Back‑to‑back meetings or jobs
• Skipping meals
• Unresolved conflict
• Too much news
• Never saying no
• Constant noise, pressure, expectations

These aren’t small things.
Your body feels every one of them.

Your nervous system stays activated.
Your stress hormones stay high.
Your body becomes more reactive, physically, emotionally, and energetically.

This is why you feel wired, tired, overwhelmed, or “on edge.”

Awareness Is Step One!
You can’t change what you don’t notice.
It’s the moment you stop running on autopilot and start listening to your body.

When you recognise what’s overstimulating you,
you can start making choices that support your body instead of draining it.

Small pauses.
Small boundaries.
They add up.

Your body isn’t failing.
It’s responding.
And you can learn to support it.

Awareness is the first step, support is the next.

Sometimes your body just knows what it needs.

I usually have a carefully planned oat / chai / berry based brekky and this morning? My body said no thank you.

So I listened. And dukkah eggs happened.
The result? Absolutely stunning, full of nutrition and exactly what I needed.

How often do we miss the subtle messages our bodies are trying to tell us ?

What is your body telling you today ?

We talk about healing like it’s a straight line, but my ankle just reminded me it absolutely isn’t.

I’m recovering from a complete ligament tear in my ankle , and these last few days the swelling has flared again. The old me would have gone straight into panic, frustration, and self‑blame.

New me knows that healing is never linear… but I still watched myself slipping into the old thought pattern, and that’s the part we don’t talk about enough.

This is exactly what I help with in my coaching, whether it’s managing stress , habit change, or chronic condition management.

Your nervous system doesn’t heal in straight lines.
Your body doesn’t rebuild in straight lines.
Your mindset doesn’t shift in straight lines.

There are dips.
There are pauses.
There are “I thought I was past this” moments.

Part of the work is noticing the story you tell yourself in those moments.
Mine used to be “I’m failing.”
Now it’s “My body is doing its best, what does it need today?”

That one shift changes everything.

If like me you’re in a dip right now, get curious.

What’s your body trying to tell you?
How can you respond in a way that calms your system rather than spiralling it?

MOST WOMEN DON'T REALISE THIS........
but when you’re stuck in your sympathetic nervous system, your body is in fight‑or‑flight mode.

And in fight‑or‑flight, your body has one job:
Run from the bear.

Except in modern life…
there is no bear.

There’s just:
the workload
the pressure
the mental load
the caring
the rushing
the “I’ll rest later”
the “I’m fine”
the constant, quiet overwhelm

And when your body thinks you’re running from danger all the time, it stops prioritising the things that keep you well:

digestion
hormones
reproduction
immune function
deep rest
repair
energy

This is why so many women 40+ feel “off”… even when their bloods are “fine”.

This is why symptoms creep in.
This is why you don’t feel like yourself.
This is why the prescription helps… but doesn’t restore.

Because you can’t heal in the same state you got unwell in.

Your symptoms aren’t random.
They’re information.
And your body is asking for a different kind of support.

The sooner you can recognise when you’re in fight‑or‑flight, the sooner you can start changing the story.

If this landed, it’s your sign to stop pushing through.
Send me a message and let’s explore what your body’s been trying to tell you.
