GOOD MORNING MAGICKAL MORTALS! ✨
Happy Freya’s Day! 💗

Today is feeling a little bit… meh. 😅
It’s noticeably darker this morning and I’m just not quite feeling the usual sparkle. Some mornings the cauldron simply refuses to boil! 😂

I’m hoping a good workout 🏋️‍♀️, some breakfast ☕🥣 and a little bit of time to myself will shift the energy and get me back on track.

Then it’s back to the jewellery bench because I’ve got a necklace to finish that I started yesterday… and this one is shaping up to be a rather gorgeous little piece of magick! 😍✨

We’ve got a Tigers Eye pendant, paired with Garnet and Obsidian, all brought together with a little knot magick. 🐅❤️🖤
Grounding, protective and fiery, with just the right amount of witchy goodness. 🪄

And speaking of blending into things… 😂

Here’s Frankie at Forest School yesterday, demonstrating his highly advanced camouflage technique. 🌲🤣

I mean… can you even see him?! 👀
Clearly, the forest has claimed him. 😂

So wherever you are and whatever kind of energy you’re waking up with today, remember that you don’t have to be sparkling every single morning. Sometimes you just need coffee, food, movement and a bit of time to find your magick again. ☕✨

Happy Thorsday! ⚡

Well, hello! 👋🏻
It feels like I've been a little MIA lately, but honestly, life has been lifing 😅 Sometimes you just have to step back, deal with what’s in front of you and trust that you’ll find your way back to your usual rhythm.

Today feels a little strange because Frankie is back at school... and he’s officially a teenager! 😭🥹🎉

We had presents this morning, birthday cuddles and all the usual excitement before I sent him off to school. And now the house feels strangely quiet.

Even though he’s a teenager now, he’ll always be my little boy. ❤️ Watching your children grow is such a bittersweet thing. You’re so proud of the people they’re becoming, while secretly wishing you could press pause for just a little while. 🥹

So now that he’s off to school, I’m feeling a little lost and wondering what to do with myself!
Luckily, I have a necklace that’s been calling me. ✨

I know there will be Tiger’s Eye, Garnet and Obsidian involved, but beyond that... who knows what will happen! 😁

I love creating this way, starting with a few crystals and an idea, then letting the piece develop its own personality as I work. Sometimes the best designs happen when you stop trying to control every little detail and just let the magick unfold. 🌙

You might have noticed that every month The Strange Apothecary has a Showcase week which they kick off with a themed market night where they have exclusive items for sale that fit the theme 🥰

This month's theme was Aromas of Therapy, for this Hannah Strange made some special blends of essential oils. There were a couple that I was drawn to, but when Jess Gelling mentioned that she could imagine me creating jewellery with this blend in my incense burner I could totally see it 😍

This 1 is called Hecate's Veil and I'm so glad I got it! It smells divine and I can't wait to burn it while creating.
In this blend is patchouli, clary sage, lavender and may chang and trust me it smells magickal ✨❤

I promised my skin that I would have a pamper session today because I've neglected it this week 🙈 and now I feel somewhat human again 😆

I started with a wash using my little piece of cleansing bar, luckily I have a new 1 waiting 😁
Then after that I let my skin absorb some beautiful mushroom goodness with the jelly mask and then I finished off with some coffee oil eye Elixir and anti-aging serum. I've also realised how low I'm getting on something's and need to order more SOON 😬

So everyone knows that I make jewellery but what I don't talk about enough is the fact that I'm also still an affiliate with The Strange Apothecary because I am madly passionate about their products!

They are beautiful
They are all natural
And they work!

So this morning I'm playing catch up with laundry, housework and selfcare 😬

This week has flown by in a whirlwind.
Monday was basically a right off because we only got home in the afternoon after our flat tyre in Yorkshire.
Tuesday I was in Fleetwood saying goodbye to my uncle Cheesecake and yesterday I just wanted to play with crystals and wire 😅

I'm sure between loads I'll still get to play with some crystals while sitting with my Mushroom jelly face mask on, because my skin is crying for some attention after a week of neglect 🙈😆

There are lots of lovely new faces around here lately so I thought it was probably time I stopped hiding behind the crystals and actually told you a little more about the woman behind them! 😂

Hi, I’m Kerry! 👋💜

I’m a mum to two beautiful children, wife to a wonderfully supportive husband, slightly obsessed with crystals, and the person behind this little jewellery making adventure of mine.

Around two years ago, I tentatively started creating intention infused jewellery using crystals and other natural materials.

And when I say tentatively, I really mean it.

Because lurking quietly in the background has always been that annoying little creature called Imposter Syndrome. 👀

Who am I to call myself a business owner?
Is my work good enough?
Will people actually want to buy what I create?
Should I really be doing this?

You know... the usual mental gymnastics. 🙄😂

But something has shifted this year.

For the first time, I’m genuinely starting to believe in myself.

I KNOW! Somebody alert the newspapers! 😂

I’ve become more motivated to turn my little business into something REAL. Not just something I do when I fancy making pretty things, but something I can genuinely grow, develop and be proud of.

And I’m actually doing the things.

I’m taking advantage of business coaching opportunities. I’m learning from amazing professionals. I’m investing in myself, my skills and my business.

And honestly... that is HUGE for me. ❤️

This week I’ve been taking part in The Brand Effect Challenge with Des, learning more about how I can build a stronger brand and create a business that actually works for me.

Next week I’m jumping into Sprint into September with Kerry Boland, which I’m ridiculously excited about after meeting her at Womanifest and hearing her speak. ✨

And while I’m learning new ways to grow my business, I’m also experimenting with different jewellery techniques and designs, so I’m going to soak up as much knowledge as my brain can possibly hold! 😁

Then there’s Jess Gelling, who is holding something in September that I’m absolutely jumping into... even though I don't actually know exactly what it is yet! 😂

But I trust her completely.

Jess was my OG business coach and, honestly, if it wasn’t for her, I probably wouldn’t even be doing this now. 🥰 She helped me take those first tentative steps and I’ll always be grateful for that.

And here’s the bit I really want you to hear...

I’m 47.

I’m at the backend of peri-menopause, raising a neurodivergent child, and I only recently discovered that I have ADHD. Life is certainly not exactly quiet! 😂

Some people might look at me and think I’m starting a business a little late in life.

But I don't see it that way.
I think I’m starting at exactly the right time. 🌙

Because there is no expiry date on creativity.

There is no age limit on learning something new.

And there is absolutely no rule saying you have to have your entire life figured out before you’re allowed to build something that makes you happy.

So here I am.

Learning.
Experimenting.
Creating.
Investing in myself.
Battling the occasional bout of imposter syndrome.
Making pretty things with crystals.
And slowly, but surely, building something that is mine. 💎🥰

And if something that makes me happy can also make me money?

Well... that’s just bloody brilliant! 😂💜

So while I wait for proper tools and different wires to arrive I'm practicing simple wrapping techniques.
I find I actually prefer the simply wrapped ones because they allow you to see more of the stone 😍

I can't wait to get the proper tools and materials so that I can really test myself 😅

GOOD MORNING MAGICKAL SOULS, HAPPY WEDNESDAY! ✨

Well… I’ve got a LOT of catching up to do! 😅 So grab your coffee, settle in and let me tell you about the absolute whirlwind that has been the last few days! ☕

As you all know we had our beautiful Gaia staying with us last week.
Then on Sunday it was time to take her home, so after dropping her off we had some KFC and a lovely catchup with Lexi and Jamie hearing all about their holiday in Sicily 🥰

Then on the way home we hit a BLOODY HUGE pothole and ended up with a flat tyre! 😖
Luckily it happened not too far from Lexi's, so we stayed the night and got the tyre changed Monday morning.

We finally made it home Monday afternoon, only to immediately switch into funeral preparation mode.
I had to get mine and Frankie's clothes ready, make sure we were both showered and sorted.
AND I had also committed myself to The Brand Effect challenge with Desislava Dobreva, so I caught up on the task I'd missed and soaked up all the valuable information from the live.

Then yesterday was an early start. Frankie and I were picked up at 7am and headed to Fleetwood to say goodbye to my beautiful Uncle Cheesecake. ❤️
And yes… Uncle Cheesecake really is his name in my heart. 🥹🍰

When I was little, whenever my uncle and auntie visited us on holiday in South Africa he would take me to our local bakery and buy me cheesecake. That little tradition stayed with me, and somehow Uncle Cheesecake became the perfect name for a man who brought so much sweetness into my childhood. ❤️

We spent some time with my dad beforehand, catching up, and then we went to the service. It was such a lovely celebration of his life. I could just imagine him smiling down at all the love surrounding him. ✨
It was also really lovely seeing family members I don't usually get to see, and I got to pop by and say hello to my mum at her grave. ❤️

Needless to say, by the time I got home I was completely drained and emotional. So naturally, there was only one appropriate thing to do…
I got myself some cheesecake and ate it in honour of Uncle Cheesecake. 🍰❤️

Yesterday just didn't leave me with the capacity to catch up on anything else, so I listened to my body, switched off and had an early night.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is simply rest.

But this morning… we're back at it! 💪✨
I've already caught up on my Day 2 task for The Brand Effect, I've done my Tai Chi workout 🧘‍♀️ and now it's time to tackle Day 3!

So here's to getting back into the flow, catching up one little task at a time and remembering that even when life throws potholes, flat tyres, emotional days and unexpected detours at us… we keep moving forward. 🛞

May your Wednesday be filled with good energy, gentle moments, productive magick and perhaps a little cheesecake. 😉
