If you are attending a funeral at Weston-super-Mare Crematorium & Cemetery over the next month, please note, due to East Street, Banwell being closed, it is causing chaos on Castle Hill, West Street, Nye Road, The Rhodyate and all the surrounding roads.

Until Banwell Bypass news and updates and North Somerset Council can sort out some traffic management in the area (which they should have already had in place!), please allow extra time on your journey.

Please be assured we are in contact with all the families who are currently affected by the closure today and tomorrow (Wednesday).
The funerals of Trevor Thorne (11.30am) and Beryl Collinge (2.30pm) will now take place at Sedgemoor Crematorium, Stretcholt, TA6 4SR at the same times that they were booked at Weston Weston-super-Mare Crematorium & Cemetery. Please contact us if you have any queries. 01934 842945.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Due to an unexpected gas leak, Weston Crematorium & Cemetery is temporarily closed and the site is currently not accessible.

Unfortunately this means services today are unable to take place as scheduled. We are in the process of contacting the affected families and our local funeral director partners directly.

The grounds are also temporarily closed and will remain inaccessible until it is safe to reopen.

We are working closely with the relevant teams to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and will keep you updated as soon as we have further information.

We sincerely apologise for any upset and inconvenience this unforeseen situation may cause and we will keep you updated.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and support while we work to safely reopen the site.
