Physiotherapy isn’t just about treatment, it’s about long-term results.

Guidance from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence supports exercise as a key part of managing many conditions, not just relieving symptoms, but improving function.

If you’ve had pain that keeps coming back, it’s often because the underlying cause hasn’t been fully addressed.

That’s where structured, personalised rehabilitation makes the difference.

When it comes to managing pain, the guidance is clear.

As stated by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence:

“Encourage people to remain physically active.”

This reflects a significant shift in how pain is managed.

Rather than avoiding movement, the focus is on:
• Staying active where possible
• Using exercise as part of treatment
• Supporting long-term recovery

Physiotherapy plays a key role in guiding this safely, ensuring movement supports recovery, not aggravation.

Hands-on treatment is often part of physiotherapy, but it’s not the whole picture.

Manual therapy can help reduce pain and improve movement in the short term, creating the foundation for more effective rehabilitation.

It’s most effective when combined with a structured rehabilitation plan.

Start your recovery with a clear plan.

Staying active as you age is important.

Physiotherapy can help:

Rest feels like the safest option when you’re in pain, but in many cases, it’s not the most effective approach

Avoiding movement for too long can lead to stiffness, reduced strength, and slower recovery.

Physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement, rebuilding strength, and improving how the body functions, helping you recover properly, not just temporarily.

Physiotherapy isn’t a single treatment, it’s a structured, tailored process.

At Neil Minter & Associates, treatment may include hands-on therapy, rehabilitation, movement analysis, and targeted interventions where appropriate.

Every plan is built around the individual, ensuring treatment is specific, effective, and focused on long-term results.

Luke’s journey is a great example of what the right rehabilitation approach can achieve.

From long-term injuries and back pain to recovering from a fractured leg and knee surgery, consistent guidance and a tailored plan made all the difference, helping him return to sport at the same, if not a better level than before.

Thank you for yout kind words, Luke.

Hip pain doesn’t always start at the hip.

It can be influenced by movement, strength, and mobility elsewhere in the body, which is why simply managing symptoms isn’t always enough.

Physiotherapy focuses on:
• Identifying the root cause
• Improving movement patterns
• Restoring strength and mobility

The aim is not just to reduce pain, but to help you move more comfortably and confidently long-term.

If hip pain is affecting your movement, get in touch to arrange an assessment.

Rehabilitation after surgery is a critical part of the recovery process.

While surgery addresses the structural issue, physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement, rebuilding strength, and supporting a safe return to daily activity or sport. Without a structured rehabilitation plan, recovery can be slower and the risk of complications or re-injury may increase.

At Neil Minter & Associates, post-surgical rehabilitation is tailored to the individual, guiding each stage of recovery to ensure the best possible long-term outcome.

If you’re preparing for or recovering from surgery, get in touch to discuss a structured rehabilitation plan.
