Despite it being a very wet and windy Wednesday, we had a wonderful birthday celebration! 🎈

It was so lovely to see some new and familiar faces from our community 🧡

A big thank you to all who joined us today and for their generosity in helping us raise £48.50 for Royal Osteoporosis Society 👏

Also a big thank you to the office team who put on a lovely spread for all to enjoy.

Cheers to the next 6 years of supporting our community to Thrive 🧡

🌟 Did you know that Walfinch Halesworth run a weekly Dementia Thrive Club? 🌟

At Walfinch, we believe that staying active, connected, and engaged can make a huge difference to wellbeing.
With this in mind, our Halesworth team have arranged a Thrive club to promote this with the assistance of Yoga expert Mel from Down To Earth Yoga in Suffolk 🧘‍♀️

⏰ Every Thursday at 10:30am
📍 Patrick Stead Day Centre, London Road, Halesworth, IP19 8LR

Please note: No sessions during school holidays

Our Dementia Thrive Club is designed to encourage gentle movement, social interaction, and enjoyable activities in a welcoming and supportive environment.

💙 Benefits of movement and activity for older adults and people living with dementia include:
• Improved mobility, balance, and strength
• Reduced risk of falls
• Better mood and reduced anxiety
• Increased confidence and independence
• Mental stimulation and memory support

The game has fantastic physical and social benefits, helping you to keep fit and make friends.

When you play tennis, you are:

🎾 Stimulating your brain
🎾 Improving your mobility

You don’t need to be able to play like Andy Murray for it to be a thriving addition to your life! 🏆

Many tennis clubs host beginner sessions and accessible group-play, helping everyone to Thrive. 👏
