This week, the Thursday Club stayed local for their trip and took the bus to Thorpeness. With the cooler weather, a few of our residents ventured out to feed the swans and their babies—and even the donkey! Others enjoyed a luxury hot chocolate and a slice of cake. I know which I would have chosen—how about you?

It was National Cookies day this week. So the residents baking club took full advantage, and made some scrummy 😋 chocolate chip cookies! although again , they never made it as far as the office! 🤪. They were clearly too good!

🎨🌈 A Day of Creativity and Color (Splat Day)! 🌈🎨
“Splat Day” is a day dedicated to painting, creativity, and high spirits!
It turned out to be a truly wonderful day. Residents and staff alike enjoyed creating, experimenting with colors, and expressing themselves through art; afterwards, they let their imaginations run wild as they tried to figure out what our colorful creations resembled—much like spotting shapes in the clouds.

Meet Jane! she has been part of our Housekeeping team at Norwood for the last 15 Years. Today we thank Jane for her loyalty over those years, as she hangs up her mop for the last time, to enjoy her well earned retirement. congratulations Jane, from all your Norwood House team, we wish you all the best. 🎉

Everyone has a form of self care, whether that be having your nails done, going to the barbers or just a walk in the park, these simple things are so important to reduce stress, prevent you from burning out. It protects you physically and mentally.
We value you these acts of self care for our residents, they enjoy popping to see Kim at hairdressers, they love to colour, do the gardening, or simply sit and read the paper.
Let us know your secret to self care, and how you that looks to you. .

Love is in the air here at Norwood, as it was national love is kind Day on Monday. We asked some of the residents “what does love ❤️ mean to you” as you can imagine, there was some varied answers! 😂.
