🌟 Volunteer Opportunity with Seaside SaLT! 🌟

Are you interested in children's speech, language and communication?

Would you like to gain hands-on practical experience supporting children and young people?

Seaside SaLT is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our Secondary School Transition Workshops this summer!

As a volunteer, you will help children take part in fun, engaging activities designed to build confidence and tackle some of the challenges they may face when moving to secondary school, including:

Thank you to everyone who joined our Introduction to Attention Autism training session!

Attention Autism is a fun and engaging approach that helps children develop their attention, listening, communication and interaction skills through highly motivating activities. By capturing a child's interest and encouraging shared attention, it creates opportunities for language and learning to flourish.

We hope everyone left with practical ideas and strategies they can use to support children both at home and in educational settings.

A big thank you to Helen, our Speech and Language Therapist, for sharing her knowledge and answering questions during the Q&A session.

Tonight, Seaside SaLT and the Stronger Practice Hub are running a FREE online Introduction to Attention Autism training session.

🌟 Learn how the Attention Autism approach can help autistic children develop natural attention, listening, engagement, and communication skills through fun and motivating activities.

💬 There will also be an opportunity at the end of the session for a Q&A session with Helen, our Speech and Language Therapist, where you can ask questions and gain further advice and support.

👶💬 On Tuesday, Helen delivered an online training session for the Stronger Practice Hub (SPH) on "Working with 0–2 Year Olds to Support Communication Development."

The session shared practical strategies to support babies' and toddlers' early communication skills, with simple ideas that can be used in everyday interactions.

📱 We also explored the latest guidance on screen time for children under 5 and discussed how everyday interactions can support communication and language development.
