Our residents had a wonderful time enjoying some fun and friendly ball games in the lounge today! 🏓 We even got creative with a ping pong challenge using egg trays, which brought plenty of smiles, laughter and competition! Residents also had the opportunity to use the Tiny Tablet, exploring interactive activities that encourage engagement and conversation. It was a lovely afternoon filled with fun, teamwork and keeping both minds and bodies active. 💛

🩵Hutton Buscel Music Festival 🩵
Some of our residents visited the local music festival and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of live music. We were delighted by the wonderful classics from the brass band, we agreed ‘the star of the show’ for us. What an amazing time we had, toes were tapping and hands were clapping! We all had a lovely afternoon and as we made our way home to The Holt we appreciated the village we live in and the community spirit it offers.🩵

Today not only did we enjoy a game of bowls, practicing our ✋🏻hand to 👀eye coordination, but continuing with sports, we then moved on to Football support the true English way- with tea ☕️🫖 and biscuits! 🍪
Here at The Holt, we are all very excited to see if we can win another match tonight. Come on England- you can do it ❤️⚽️

We were visited on Friday by Music Therapist Laura, who delivered several one to one music therapy sessions during the morning and a fabulous group session after lunch.
Music Therapy is of huge benefit to our residents. Following complex rhythms and playing music engages and stimulates areas of the brain responsible for memory, emotions, focus and physical coordination…a full brain work-out whilst having lots of fun making a glorious racket!

“Oh we do like to be beside the seaside!”
Some of our residents had a fabulous day out to a chalet in the North Bay, enjoying sun, sea and ice creams! Family members and off duty staff joined us during the day and our chef, Emma, packed us some delicious sandwiches and cake.
Special thanks to minibus driver Martin of Nippy Taxis, Tracey at the North Bay Chalets office and Colin at the Beach Management Centre for their support during the day.

Our Strawberry Cream Tea🍓

What better way to spend the day - The ladies have enjoyed a slow summer stroll around the beautiful village, it’s just so full of life this season. We met with birds, butterflies, ladybirds and squirrels.
If the day could get any better we enjoyed a delicious strawberry cream tea at the village hall. Absolutely beautiful. A huge thank you to all who organised it, it was a great event and we throughly enjoyed ourselves 🍓🍰

We had a wonderful day at our summer garden party, bringing together residents and their families for a wonderful occasion. The day was filled with laughter, dancing and connection, this was made so memorable with the fantastic entertainment from Martin the Music Man who had everyone singing and tapping along.
It was lovely to see everyone having such a great time!
Thanks to everyone generosity and support, we raised an amazing £404 for our activities fund, this will go towards future events and enriching experiencs for our residents!!

A great day had by all!
