๐Ÿ’œ Young Carers Matter ๐Ÿ’œ

This Carers Week, we're recognising the amazing young carers in our community.

A young carer is someone under 18 who helps look after a family member with a disability, long-term illness, mental health condition, or problems with drugs or alcohol.

Being a young carer can mean helping with practical tasks, providing emotional support, or taking on responsibilities that many young people don't have. It can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging.

If you're a young carer, or you know a young person who helps care for someone at home, please let us know. By identifying young carers, we can help ensure they receive the support, information and signposting they may need.

๐Ÿ’œ You are not alone.
๐Ÿ’œ Your wellbeing matters.
๐Ÿ’œ Support is available.

Thank you to all the young carers who make such a difference every day.

We would like to invite our patients to our next Patient Participation Group (PPG) meeting.

The PPG is an opportunity for patients and practice staff to work together to help improve services, share ideas, discuss patient experiences, and support the development of the practice.

Whether you're a long-standing member or interested in joining for the first time, we'd love to hear your views and feedback.

To find out more about the PPG visit https://brooksquaresurgery.co.uk/surgery-information/patient-group/

Today marks the start of Carers Week, a time to recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution unpaid carers make every day.

Whether you care for a partner, parent, child, friend or neighbour, your support helps others live safely, independently and with dignity. Caring can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging, and we want carers to know that their own health and wellbeing matter too.

This week, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to all carers in our community. Your compassion, dedication and resilience do not go unnoticed.

If you are a carer and haven't told us about your caring role, please let us know. Recording this information on your medical record helps us understand your circumstances and ensure you can access the support, information and services available to you.

๐Ÿ’™ Thank you for all that you do.
