๐ Young Carers Matter ๐
This Carers Week, we're recognising the amazing young carers in our community.
A young carer is someone under 18 who helps look after a family member with a disability, long-term illness, mental health condition, or problems with drugs or alcohol.
Being a young carer can mean helping with practical tasks, providing emotional support, or taking on responsibilities that many young people don't have. It can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging.
If you're a young carer, or you know a young person who helps care for someone at home, please let us know. By identifying young carers, we can help ensure they receive the support, information and signposting they may need.
๐ You are not alone.
๐ Your wellbeing matters.
๐ Support is available.
Thank you to all the young carers who make such a difference every day.
