🌊🐠 Under the Sea – Day 1 🐙🪼

What a fantastic start to our Under the Sea week! This morning, the children created their own mixed-media underwater scenes, and we were so impressed with their creativity, concentration and enthusiasm from start to finish 💙

Throughout the activity, the children developed so many important skills, including:
🖌️ Fine motor skills through painting, cutting, colouring, gluing and manipulating masking tape.
✋ Hand-eye coordination when placing and assembling each element of their artwork.
🎨 Creativity and imagination by designing their own sea creatures and choosing colours, patterns and layouts.
🧠 Problem-solving and decision-making as they planned where to position each part of their picture.
💬 Communication and language through discussing ideas, sharing resources and talking about sea life.
⏳ Concentration, patience and perseverance by following a multi-step creative process.
🌟 Confidence and independence as they made their own creative choices and took pride in their own unique artwork.

🌈 Week 1 – Colour Fun 🎨✨

From summer collages, mosaic coasters, colour spinners, rainbow scratch art, air-dry clay, colourful chocolate bark, spin art and blow paintings, we’ve had three days packed with creativity, laughter and fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this week – we’ve loved seeing the children create, make new friends, play together and enjoy the sunshine ☀️💛

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back next week for our Under the Sea theme… it’s going to be full of ocean-inspired creativity and fun! 🐠🪸🌊

We’ve been busy this morning creating our summer collages:

🌈 Exploring a variety of textures and materials
✂️ Cutting and refining shapes
🖍️ Using glue carefully to stick different elements
🟡 Sorting colours, shapes and sizes
🧩 Arranging and layering pieces to create a balanced design
💭 Making creative choices and expressing their own ideas
🤲 Strengthening fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination

No two collages are the same and that’s just how we like it! We hope you like them too 😍

Wildlife enthusiasts! Strange sights today in Scunthorpe! The bears are on the move and finding their positions for the Scunthorpe Bear Trail!

The trail launches this Saturday 11 July with a big celebration in Church Square, 20-21 and Scunthorpe Central. Here at 20-21 we’ll be running a Teddy Bear Repair Shop, bring your old teddy for a glow up!

There’s loads of other fun activities and the launch of the summer reading challenge! See you there

We’re so excited to share our confirmed summer holiday dates and themes with you! From colourful crafts and painting to superheroes, oceans and adventures around the world, we have another fantastic programme planned for the children this Summer ✨

This year marks our 4th year of running Creative Kids Holiday Club and since opening we have worked hard to keep our prices the same despite rising costs. Unfortunately, due to increasing expenses, we have had to make a small price increase this time to ensure we can continue providing the fun, creative and safe environment that families know and love.

💙 Full Day Session (9am–4pm) – £24
💙 AM Session (9am–1pm) – £17
💙 PM Session (12pm–4pm) – £17
💙 Breakfast Club (8am–9am) – £4 per child

As a thank you to families who bring siblings along, we’ve increased our sibling discount from 10% to 15% for each additional sibling 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦✨

We’re excited to share the proposed dates for Kids Club this Summer!

We’re just waiting on final confirmation from the venue but we know lots of parents like to get organised early — especially over the summer holidays — so we wanted to give you a heads up.
