Memorial to Kath 💛

Last week family and colleagues joined together to honour Kath. Kath worked at the surgery for about 20 years as a receptionist and was always a warm, caring, and familiar face to so many patients and colleagues throughout that time. She is greatly missed following her sad passing.

To honour Kath’s memory and pay tribute to her years of dedication, colleagues came together to fund and plant a Red Robin tree in her honour. The tree has been planted in the courtyard, just a few feet from where Kath spent so many of her working days.

Colleagues will continue to care for the surrounding flower bed and ensure the tree is well maintained, creating a peaceful space for reflection and remembrance. We hope it will serve as a lasting tribute to Kath and a place where fond memories of her can be cherished for years to come.

Is your cervical screening due?

You can book an appointment at the surgery by using your NHS App and selecting appointments or by phoning one of our surgeries.

Cervical screenings can sometimes cause anxiety or create questions but our friendly and approachable Practice Nurses are there for your questions and to put you at ease.

Did you know you can request a consultation online as long as it is not an urgent request? or query your medication? Our website can give you all the information and it is a simple step by step process.

Your request is received by our reception team who will either respond directly to your query, add you to our triage list for a clinician to review or pass the request on to our in house pharmacy team.

Primary Care Awards

On Friday 12th June some of the Cherry Tree team came together in glamourous dress to attend the Safecare Primary Care Awards at The Baths Hall.

Each year we look forward to this event as it gives us the opportunity to show the hard work put in by all which is often hidden behind the scenes. This year we were shortlisted for 2 awards, Dr RT Maliyil for GP of the year and our Advanced Nurse Practitioner Team for ANP of the year.

Sadly we didn't walk away with a trophy this year but that doesn't take away how proud we are of the team and the dedication shown each day in their roles. They truly are all winners in our eyes!

The Carers Support Service will be in the Ironstone Centre to celebrate Carers Week on Thursday 11th June.

They will be there alongside the North Lincs Carer team, Young Carers team, North Lincs Parent Forum and Citizens Advice to offer information, advice and support for anyone who is in a caring role (or may know someone who is).
