☽ It’s a wrap 2025☽

This is the face of a happy but tired acupuncturist! It’s been a very busy year professionally and personally.

A heartfelt thank you to all my patients for trusting me with your care for another year, I learn so much from you all and feel so lucky to have a job I love ❤️

I’m taking some time out to rest, restore, celebrate a big birthday and the festivities and spend time with my family and friends.

I’ll respond to any messages in early January and clinic reopens 5th January.

✨10 YEARS✨

September is my unofficial business birthday 🥳 (it’s July really!) and this year I celebrate 10 years in business and one year since I moved into

Where has the last 10 years gone! I can remember my first solo day in clinic in my white coat (see picture 2) I couldn’t wait for it to be over I was so nervous! 😂

It’s not always been easy. There’s been ups and downs and challenging times such as the pandemic….but I wouldn’t change a single thing. Yes, I’m a one woman business, but behind the scenes I have many supporters, colleagues and cheer leaders who keep me on track!

I’m grateful every day for my wonderful clients who trust me with your care. You are the reason I get to do what I love. A heartfelt thank you 🙏🏻 💫 Here’s to the next 10 years 🤩

I’m Annabel the acupuncturist. I’ve been in practice for 10 years this year. My primary clinic is in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire.

I help people with lots of different health challenges and niggles; headache, migraine, hormones, pain, stress, digestive issues, sleep problems…the list goes on!

I have a specialist interest in fertility and women’s health. I’m an affiliate at the wonderful team, so when you work with me you get to access a team of amazing women.

Outside clinic I enjoy hiking, running and a good roast dinner!

☽ WORLD ARTHRITIS DAY☽

Today is World Arthritis Day.

I’ve never spoken about this on social media, but I’ve lived with Psoriatic Arthritis for almost 14 years, most of my adult life. There’s been ups and downs, flare ups and remission, drugs, cortisone shots, side effects, gadgets, physio, therapies the list goes on.

Around a third of the UK population live with an MSK condition (Versus Arthritis, 2024). Arthritis isn’t just an older person’s disease, many young adults and children live with the disease.

You might be thinking “What does this have to do with acupuncture?!” and you’d be right in thinking that. I’m not sharing this for sympathy, I’m sharing as my own health challenges (migraine then arthritis) introduced me to acupuncture and ultimately changed my life and career.

I may not have experienced the same struggles as many of my clients, but through my own health and autoimmune disease, I’ve explored lots of different treatments over the years, nutrition, functional medicine, counselling, acupuncture and western medicine and I believe that it’s a combination of all these that have helped my arthritis become well managed. This has allowed me to start running again and go hiking. I didn’t make a tourist Parkrun today, but there’s always next time!

For now Arthur (yes my arthritis has a name!!) and I continue to tolerate each other. I’m the driver, he’s in the back seat along for the ride.

My favourite month and season is here! (Although the weather is MISERABLE today!).

In Chinese Medicine autumn correlates with the metal element. It’s a time of reflection and letting go, slowing down and nourishing ourselves ready for winter.
