Children at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby will receive new toys as part of a project remembering young people whose lives were affected by online harms.

The donation will take place in memory of Kibi Wade, from Caistor, whose family raises awareness about online bullying and the need to safeguard young people. Kibi tragically took her own life in 2024. Her family say she suffered with her mental health, and had been the subject of bullying and online bullying.

Apologies, but the lift in the main patient and visitor car park at Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital is currently out of order.
We are liaising with contractors to get it repaired and working again as quickly as possible.
However, in the meantime, we ask that if you are able to use the stairs, please park on the upper deck of the car park to help us to prioritise ground floor spaces for those less able than you.

Apologies but our free Park and Walk facility on Scartho Road, Grimsby (on the former Scartho Baths site) is temporarily closed.
Unfortunately, a vehicle has been abandoned blocking the entrance to the car park.
We are in contact with the landowners, North East Lincolnshire Council, who are working with us to get the vehicle removed and the facility reopened as soon as possible.
We will let you know when it is available for use again.

🌱 A major milestone in our journey to net zero at Scunthorpe Hospital

Today, state-of-the-art electronic boilers were delivered and craned into the new Spark Energy Centre as part of our £27 million programme to transform Scunthorpe Hospital into one of the UK's most environmentally sustainable healthcare sites.

Manufactured by Bosch to our own specifications, the electric boilers will replace existing gas-fuelled systems and play a key role in reducing our carbon footprint by 4,124.93 tonnes of carbon emissions every year.

The project, funded predominantly through a £20.6 million award from the Government's Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme via Salix, will also see:

☀️ Additional roof-mounted solar panels installed
🚗 Solar carports added to car parks
🏥 Upgrades to heating, ventilation and building management systems
🪟 New energy-efficient windows fitted
🔌 Electrical upgrades and improved insulation across the site

Alex Best, Group Deputy Director of Capital Services, said:

"We believe this scheme will make a significant difference and help to improve the local environment for the communities of Scunthorpe and North Lincolnshire while providing a warm and comfortable environment for our patients to heal and recuperate."

This is another important step towards a greener NHS and a more sustainable future for our communities.
