What a wonderful afternoon at Threeways Nursing Home for our garden party! ☀️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such a lovely occasion. Residents, families and friends enjoyed live music, delicious refreshments and good conversation! 🌸

We were also delighted to have our garden party officially opened by Rod, the Deputy Mayor of Seaford - making it his first official garden party opening in his new role. It was a pleasure to welcome him to Threeways and share the afternoon together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special 💕

With the sunshine providing the perfect backdrop, we have been getting creative with arts and crafts! These activities are a great way to encourage creativity, keep minds active and give residents the opportunity to enjoy time together while exploring new ideas and making something unique. When the toolboxes you brought for Father’s Day didn’t quite hold all the treats you wanted…what else was there left to do? 🎨🌱

Give them a makeover and turn them into fabulous planters, of course!

We love finding fun and imaginative ways to repurpose things - and this was a perfect excuse to get creative together. We now have some lovely new planters to brighten up our home! 🌼

Friday afternoons, new friendships and a little bit of sunshine ☀️

We’ve recently started visiting the wonderful Forget-me-Knot Memory Café at St Peter’s Church in East Blatchington with one of our residents every Friday.

The café provides a safe and welcoming space for people living with dementia and their carers, offering support, conversation, refreshments - and, importantly, friendship and connection ☕🍰

Vee was the first of our residents to join us, and what a wonderful time she had! We enjoyed a gentle walk in the sunshine before settling in for tea, cake and conversation.

Along the way, we chatted about how Vee got her name, inspired by the opera The Merry Widow. Then came the unexpected announcement that Cornwall wouldn’t be making w**e this summer! 🍷😂

With some very surprised faces, the conversation continued…apparently, the grapes are simply far too dry this year!

It’s moments like these that mean so much. We hope for moments of clarity, but the smiles, laughter and connections we share along the way are just as precious. Vee’s smile was certainly a blessing ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone at the Forget-me-Knot Memory Café for welcoming us so warmly and creating such a lovely space for our residents and their carers.
