🦋 C h o i c e 🦋

I didn’t feel like going for a walk today, but I knew I’d feel better if I did.

Sometimes we don’t need to feel like doing something.

We just need to make the choice that we know will help us.

🦋 R e m i n d e r 🦋

A really important point.

Don’t let a bad morning determine your day. Whatever happened at that point in time happened, it’s in the past now so don’t take it with you throughout the day, just leave it behind.

Think about how blue the sky is or how beautiful nature is as autumn is just around the corner, or those last few flowers peaking through with their burst of colour....look for something positive, switch up your thinking and enjoy the rest of your day.

🦋 G l i m m e r 🦋

The last thing I felt like doing this evening was taking Bailey for a walk.

I feel like I’ve been non stop today for one reason or another and after dinner, all i wanted to do was sit down and take a breather.

However, Bailey needed a walk and so i took him out and was met with the sun setting behind the trees and it made me smile.

Sometimes a glimmer is all it takes to lift our mood, make us smile or bring that little moment of joy.

I do love a sunset 🌅

We weren’t planning on going to the beach.

After spending the afternoon with my son and his friend, we dropped his friend home and my son said, “Let’s pop down and see the sunset.”

So we did. 🌅

We weren’t there long, but sometimes it’s these little snapshot moments that matter the most.

The unplanned ones. The ordinary ones. The few minutes where you stop, look around and realise just how precious simply being together is.

A little reminder to make the most of the moments when they come.

Today’s challenge was on a bike.

My son, his friend and I ventured into the forest and hit the trails and the jumps (me not so much the jumps, more rolled over them).

The first session was 2 hrs and 42 minutes and the second 42 minutes.

We are all feeling proud of our effort.

All the energy, love and positive vibes to Gus Golding ❤️❤️

Well done to boys.

❤️ ❤️

Here is the post that my husband Darren, shared yesterday with the details of the challenge:

Please follow for his journey to his double lung transplant and any updates.

The challenge is any exercise that has 42 in it.

The number 42 is so important to Nat and Gus and comes from the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy and means “the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything”

It was one of the reasons that 42 Juice was so called.

Today, I completed 42,000 steps over 2 running activities to start it off.

If you would like to get involved and send positive vibes and good energy then just do an activity that has 4 and 2 in it. You can run, walk, cycle, swim or gym.

4.2km, 4.2 miles, 42 minutes, 4,200 steps 42,000 steps,
42 km or 42 miles.

Thank you for your love and support.

🍂 H e l l o S e p t e m b e r 🍂

There is something about the beginning of a new month that can feel like a little marker in time.

A new season beginning to unfold. Softer light, cooler mornings, the first leaves starting to turn in colour. a gentle reminder that things are always changing and moving forward.

But a new month doesn’t have to mean a fresh start.

We don’t have to suddenly have everything figured out. We don’t need big plans, new goals or a long list of things we feel we should be doing.

Sometimes we gently step into a new month simply carrying on and that’s ok too.

Perhaps September can be about looking forward while still taking things one day at a time.

Noticing the small things that bring a little joy into our days:

🍂 Fresh air.
🍂 A warm cup of tea.
🍂 A chat with someone that makes you smile.
🍂 Time with the people you love.
🍂 A moment of calm.
🍂 Something that makes you laugh.
🍂 Those little glimmers of hope that remind us there are always brighter moments ahead.

So here’s to September. Appreciating what we have today, looking forward to what might be around the corner and remembering that we don’t always have to be striving for the next thing.

Sometimes simply being present, keeping going and holding onto a little hope is more than enough.

🌿 C o n n e c t e d 🌿

Sometimes nature gives us the most incredible little reminders.

I picked up this horse chestnut, opened it, and couldn’t believe how much it reminded me of a human brain.

It made me think about how intrinsically linked we are to nature.

We often talk about nature as somewhere we go, a walk round a field or in the forest, a trip to the beach, pottering in the garden.

But perhaps we forget that we are nature too.

We are part of the same natural world.

And maybe that’s why being amongst trees can quieten a busy mind. Why the sound of the sea can soothe us. Why fresh air, daylight, birdsong and simply putting one foot in front of the other can make us feel a little more grounded.

Our minds and bodies weren’t designed to be separate from the natural world, even though modern life can sometimes make it feel that way.

And then you open something as simple as a horse chestnut and see this!

A tiny reminder of just how beautifully connected everything is.

We don’t just need nature.
We are nature.

✨ H O P E ✨

I’ve been thinking a lot about hope lately.

How sometimes hope can be something big, believing that things will get better, that something we desperately want will happen or that brighter days are ahead.

But sometimes, hope is much smaller than that.

It’s getting up in the morning and believing today might feel a little easier.

It’s noticing a tiny glimmer of something good when everything feels heavy.

It’s trusting that feelings can change, situations can change, and that we don’t always know what might be waiting around the corner.

Hope doesn’t mean pretending everything is okay when it isn’t.

It doesn’t mean ignoring fear, sadness or uncertainty.

Sometimes it simply means holding on to the possibility that things can be different.

And I think that is super powerful.

In the work I do, I see the importance of hope all the time. That little belief that maybe I can feel better, that maybe things can change or that maybe there is another way forward.

Because even the smallest bit of hope gives us somewhere to look towards.

So if life feels difficult right now, perhaps you don’t need to have all the answers.

Perhaps, for today, it’s enough just to hold on to a little bit of hope.

Sometimes the smallest glimmer is enough. ✨

🌒 S o l a r E c l i p s e 🌒

I wanted to find out what the meaning is of a Solar Eclipse. Everyone will have their view, some may not even have a view but for me this meaning felt right.

Wherever you are watching it, if you are, we are marking a moment in time.
