70+ men. 1,500 square feet. One room.

A culture and community that can’t be replicated.

Iron sharpens iron. Men pushing men. Competition, teamwork, challenge and shared struggle, all in the same space.

Because there’s something different about going through hard things together. The man next to you wants you to win, sometimes more than you want it for yourself.

He demands more, pushes your limits and helps unlock what you didn’t know you were capable of.

That’s what The Training Club is built on.

Experience has always come first.

Because experience is the product.

The feeling someone leaves with is the outcome.

The one question we ask ourselves…

How do we make every man leave feeling better than when he walked in?”

More confident.
More capable.
More connected.
More motivated to come back.

That question has shaped everything.

Over the last 10 months we’ve challenged, tested, refined and rebuilt how we coach. We have redefined what coaching is at the Training Club

On paper, it’s large group coaching.

In reality, it’s a one-of-one model we’ve built from the ground up.

We split the coaching role into two.

A Lead Coach who owns the room, delivers with conviction and creates the energy.

A Co-Coach whose focus is the men in front of him. More conversations. More coaching. More accountability. More moments that otherwise get missed.

It’s the subtle details that define the experience.

The way the room is set up.
The way responsibilities are split.
The standards we coach to.
The timing and flow of 48 men in the room.
The intent behind every interaction.
The moments anticipated before they even happen.

Most people won’t notice those things.

Our members will feel them.

Because when the experience is right, everything else follows.

People train harder.
They stay longer.
They build relationships.
They get better results.

The programme matters. The coaching matters.

But above all else, the experience is what people remember.

And that’s the product we’ve spent the last 10 months designing.

Three years on Tuesday I started my journey within the TRAINING CLUB reflecting back here are my 3 biggest lessons.

I thought I knew what leadership looked like. I thought I knew what success cost. I was wrong on both counts.

Three years in, here’s what’s changed…

1. Presence over balance. For a long time I believed there was a trade-off. Progress at work meant something at home had to give. So I split myself in two, work got my time, home got what was left over. I was rarely fully anywhere. Eventually I realised the trade-off wasn’t real. I don’t chase balance anymore. I chase presence. When I’m coaching or building, that gets 100% of me. When I walk through my front door, my family gets that same version not distracted, not half-thinking about tomorrow, not guilty for switching off. Just there.

2. More isn’t better. I used to think the answer to everything was doing more, more hours, more work, more effort. Effort’s non-negotiable, but I learned the hard way that it only gets you so far. The real gains came from finding the handful of things that move everything else, the member experience, the coaches, the standards, the culture and getting relentless about those instead of spreading myself thin across everything. Being busy was never the goal. Being effective was.

3. Everything reflects you. I used to think my job was managing people and solving problems. What I didn’t see was that the energy in the room, the standards on the floor, the culture we live in none of that happens by accident. People don’t follow what you tell them. They follow what you consistently do. So when things slipped, I stopped asking “why are they doing that?” and started asking “what have I modelled?” That question changed how I lead completely.

Three years in, the biggest shifts weren’t externally They were in me. Here’s to the next three years.

Where have the last 10 months gone! The next chapter of our little story begins. I’m so excited for what is to come. The new challenges ahead will only make us a stronger family 🙏🏼

I used to joke that maternity leave was an extended holiday. I couldn’t have been more wrong. It’s relentless and I take my hat off. The level of care, patience and love it requires is one of a special person. I’m genuinely so proud and grateful to have you by my side.

Your the best mam Albie could ever ask for and we are both so lucky ❤️

Good week in HQ. One of the best in a while.

Momentum behind us. Everyone focused on the same target, moving in the same direction. That doesn’t happen by accident.

Proud of this team. Genuinely. Everyone has stepped up

But this is where most people slip. They get a good week and think it’s the standard now. It’s not. It’s a marker.

A reminder of what’s possible when everyone’s aligned.

Fulfilled, not finished. Onto the next one.

Today I caught up with Michael Miller one of our long term members who’s been with us for almost two years. We spoke about what impact the training club has had on his life, the struggles he’s overcome, the experiences he’s gone through, the growth personally and professionally, the new role he’s found himself in within the community.

The most disciplined thing a father can do is become the man he wants his son to copy. Not tell him. Not force him. Become him.

So raise yourself, before you try to raise anyone else. Every rep, every early morning, every promise you keep to yourself, that’s the example.

Kids don’t follow instructions. They follow proof.

Shoutout: for the inspiration 🙏🏼
