We recently received the most wonderful compliment from the family of one of the people we support, and we couldn't resist sharing it (with all identifying details removed, of course!).

During a routine courtesy call, a family member described their experience with the Bespoke & Harmony Coastal Care team as “absolutely heartwarming”, adding:

Three years ago today, Bespoke Support began with nothing more than a dream, a huge amount of determination, and a belief that care could be done differently.

Then Bespoke Support became Bespoke & Harmony. Two people who joined forces and wanted to create a service where people weren't just another visit on a rota, but where they were truly known, valued, and cared for like family. A service built on kindness, compassion, dignity, and genuine relationships.

Three years later, we look back with so much pride.

We've laughed with our clients, cried with their families, celebrated milestones, held hands through difficult times, and had the privilege of being welcomed into so many people's lives.

Those moments are something we will never take for granted.

To our incredible team, thank you.

Your compassion, dedication, and the love you show every single day are what make Bespoke & Harmony what it is. You don't just provide care; you make a real difference to people's lives.

As temperatures rise, people living with dementia can be especially vulnerable to the effects of heat. Dementia can affect a person's ability to recognise when they're thirsty, remember to drink fluids, dress appropriately for the weather, or communicate that they're feeling unwell.

Hot weather can increase the risk of:
Dehydration
Heat exhaustion and heatstroke
Increased confusion and agitation
Falls and other health complications

At Bespoke & Harmony Coastal Care, our dedicated team is working around the clock to ensure all of our loved ones remain safe, comfortable, and well cared for during the hot weather. We are providing regular hydration, monitoring for any signs of heat-related illness, keeping living areas as cool as possible, adapting activities to suit the conditions, and carrying out frequent wellbeing checks throughout the day and night.

The health, comfort, and dignity of those in our care remain our highest priority. We are committed to providing the very best care possible, even in challenging conditions, and ensuring every resident receives the attention and support they need.

A little extra care during hot weather can make a big difference. Please remember to check on elderly relatives, friends, neighbours, and anyone who may be vulnerable.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and look out for one another.
