Thank you to everyone who joined us for our summer 'by the sea' themed party yesterday. The gazebos were up, the bunting was flying and the sun was shining...until it wasn't, and the heavens opened and we all had to decamp inside!
Despite the weather our residents, families and staff enjoyed a fun filled day of music, games, fish and chips, ice cream and Punch and Judy. Huge thanks to Professor Gayton for his very entertaining Punch and Judy show, Perran Ellyn for his sea shanties and songs and Mr. Cox and his band for their afternoon entertainment.

This week we were very sad to hear that one of our regular visitors, The Magic of Graham Prigg had passed away. Graham was a firm favourite with residents and staff alike and will be greatly missed by us all. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

What a fantastic day for a tea dance on the decking!
Thanks to the South West Lindy Hoppers for getting us all dancing, the families and friends who joined us and of course the staff who helped to make it all happen!

We have been making the most of the lovely weather! Last week we enjoyed a house BBQ on the decking and a visit to The Donkey Sanctuary.
We have also been busy making fruit kebabs, playing ping pong games and today we created corsages and headbands in preparation for our vintage tea dance on Thursday.
Our gardening efforts are now paying off and we have enjoyed eating our home grown lettuces and tomatoes.

Today, our wonderful team came together to celebrate World Food by preparing and sharing homemade dishes inspired by their home countries and cultural backgrounds for our residents to enjoy.
With the excitement of the World Cup bringing people together from across the world, it was the perfect opportunity to celebrate the diversity within our team and share the flavours, traditions, and stories that make each culture unique.
Our residents enjoyed tasting a variety of delicious dishes while learning about the different cultures represented in our home. It was a lovely day of sharing, conversation, and togetherness, reminding us that food has a special way of bringing people together.
A heartfelt thank you to all of our staff who generously prepared and shared these wonderful dishes. Your kindness, enthusiasm, and dedication helped create a memorable experience for our residents. 🌍🍽️⚽❤️

To help celebrate 25 years of Southern Healthcare we are holding a Vintage Tea Dance on Thursday 23rd July from 2.15pm.
All families and friends are invited to join us for an afternoon of dancing and a delicious party tea. Vintage dress (any era) optional but very welcome!
