Townsend House Medical Centre

Townsend House Medical Centre We are an NHS practice offering services to patients within an eight-mile radius surrounding Seaton.

We have two surgeries, Townsend House Medical Centre in Seaton, and Walrond Medical Centre in Beer. This includes Beer, Colyton, Colyford, Musbury, Shute, Axmouth and Branscombe. Our practice has six GPs, a Clinical Pharmacist, a Paramedic, three Practice Nurses and three HCAs. Once a week we also have a Physio Therapist, Pharmacy Technician, Midwife and Mental Health Team in the practice. We have

approximately 6000 patients who we also offer other services too if required. These services are Minor Operations, Microsuction, Audiology and a Stop Smoking Programme. We also take part in various studies and research projects which sometimes involves voluntary patient participation. Townsend House is also a teaching practice working closely with the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital and the University of Exeter, having frequent students join our team on placement.

‼️We will be closed on Wednesday the 22nd of July from 1pm till 3pm for a staff development session.‼️
▪️Calls within this time will be transferred to the out of hours service (111).
▪️Online consultation forms will be turned off during this time.
▪️Both Townsend and Beer surgery doors will be locked from 1-3pm.

We will reopen our doors, phonelines, and online consultations from 3pm.

If you or someone else has experienced an injury or need medical assistance for,

- suspected broken bones
- cuts
- burns/scalds
- a fall resulting in injury of upper or lower limbs
- sprain
- tick removal
- bites
- foreign bodies in eyes, nose or ears

PLEASE ATTEND THE MINOIR INJURIES UNIT OR A&E STRAIGHT AWAY. THESE UNITS ARE APPROPRIATELY EQUIPPED TO DEAL WITH THESE CIRCUMSTANCES.
