A lovely morning of flower arranging 🌸

Our residents enjoyed choosing their favourite flowers and creating their own arrangements. It was a nice opportunity to get creative, have a chat and enjoy some time together.

There were some lovely arrangements created, with everyone putting their own individual touch on them. 🌷

🥰 A fun-filled weekend! 🥰

We started off with a bus trip over to Charmouth to enjoy an ice cream in the sun 🌞

We also had a good time with our huge range of arts & crafts supplies and made sunflowers, jellyfish and even our own glasses! 😎

And we capped the weekend off with a delicious afternoon tea on Sunday, in celebration of National Afternoon Tea Week! 🫖

We had a lovely time yesterday evening out on our amazing terrace, watching the wonders of the cosmos unfold before our eyes!

We were crafty and resourceful by making some pinhole projectors out of old boxes, so we could safely watch the first major eclipse visible from Seaton since 1999!

The ice cream van has been to visit us! 🍦

Our residents enjoyed picking their favourite treats and sitting out in the sunshine with friends.

There was plenty of choice, from classic ice creams to tasty lollies, and everyone had a great time deciding what to have.

It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon, with good weather, good company and, of course, plenty of ice cream! ☀️

We are delighted to announce that following the latest visit from Environmental Health, we have RETAINED our 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating!!! 🥇

This is a fantastic achievement from everyone working here at The Check House Care Home, but especially the wonderful kitchen team 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

They work very hard to provide all our residents with a delicious variety of nutritious meals while keeping the kitchen in tip top condition ✨

Thank you so much and keep up the amazing work! 💪

Every fortnight, we receive a new reminiscence box from Dorset Library.

The boxes are always full of interesting artefacts from yesteryear.

We always enjoy looking through the items and sharing stories of what they mean to us over a cup of tea and some biscuits.
