🌿 Meet Kymm – Our New Massage Therapist! 🌿

We’re delighted to introduce Kymm Kirkhope, the newest member of the HomePhysio By Nicola team. ❤️

Kymm brings a fantastic combination of experience, knowledge and a genuinely caring, holistic approach to massage therapy.

🎓 Kymm graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2015 with a BSc (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science (Sports Nutrition). During the same period, she also gained her Diploma in Sports Massage and has continued to develop her experience in sports coaching and development.

Since graduating, Kymm has worked across both clinical and spa environments, providing everything from sports and therapeutic massage to wonderfully relaxing treatments. Her experience means she is comfortable supporting a wide variety of people – from those dealing with injury, aches and muscle tension to those simply needing time to relax, unwind and look after themselves.

🏃‍♀️ Kymm has also worked alongside sports teams and at sporting events, providing pre- and post-event therapy, sports taping, massage and rehabilitation support.

And here’s a little fact we absolutely love… Kymm has even rehabilitated two ex-racehorses from racing injuries, helping them return to full fitness and retraining them into new disciplines! 🐴❤️

Kymm describes herself as empathetic and compassionate, with a passion for helping people not only feel better physically, but feel more like themselves again.

Her holistic approach fits beautifully with our HomePhysio By Nicola values of Care, Compassion, Holistic and Fun. ❤️

When she isn’t working, you’ll usually find Kymm kept very busy by her two horses, two dogs and her wee cat, as well as enjoying life with her partner and their animals. 🐴🐶🐱

💙 Wishing Claudia All the Very Best for Her Next Adventure 💙

It’s always bittersweet when someone moves on from our team, but we couldn’t be prouder of Claudia as she takes the next exciting step in her career studying for her Master’s in Physiotherapy. 🎓✨

From the moment Claudia joined HomePhysio By Nicola, she has brought so much professionalism, care and commitment to her role. She has worked incredibly hard, supported the wider team and, most importantly, made a real difference to the patients she has worked with.

One of Claudia’s greatest qualities is her ability to really listen. She has a wonderful listening ear for her patients, taking the time to understand what matters to them, but she has also been that person for her colleagues, always approachable, supportive and willing to be there when someone needs her. 💙

As a team, one of the things we are passionate about is inspiring and supporting the next generation of healthcare professionals. We want people who spend time with us to learn, grow, develop their confidence and be inspired to continue making a difference taking that holistic approach.

Knowing that Claudia is now taking everything she has learned and experienced into the next stage of her journey towards becoming a Physiotherapist makes us incredibly proud. We’re looking for a Senior Physiotherapist to join HomePhysio By Nicola at our clinic in Selkirk, Scottish Borders.

This is predominantly a clinic-based MSK position, but for us, finding the right person is about much more than clinical experience.

We want someone who shares the values that shape everything we do:

💙 Care – taking the time to listen, understand what matters to each person and provide rehabilitation that is genuinely individual to them.

💙 Compassion – recognising that pain, injury and changes in mobility affect far more than someone’s physical health. We want our patients to feel heard, supported and understood.

💙 Holistic – we don’t simply treat a painful back, knee or shoulder. We look at the whole person, their lifestyle, work, family, goals and the things they want to get back to doing.

💙 Fun – rehabilitation can be challenging, but that doesn’t mean it has to feel clinical or intimidating. We want our clinic to be somewhere patients — and our team — feel comfortable, encouraged and able to enjoy the journey too.

That same approach extends to how we treat each other as a team. We want people to feel valued, supported to develop, able to contribute ideas and proud of the difference they make.

The role will involve a varied MSK caseload, with access to our purpose-designed clinic, rehabilitation facilities and specialist treatments including Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES).

From walking stick to walking freely again 💙

There is something incredibly powerful about hearing a patient’s journey in their own words.

When David first came to us, he relied on a walking stick whenever he was outdoors. Walking had become tiring, shoulder pain was affecting his day-to-day life, and his confidence in his mobility had reduced.

Through a combination of specialist physiotherapy and Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), David has made remarkable progress.
