Electrotherapy- interferential therapy 🖥️

One of the ‘new’ treatments at GJ Sports Therapy. Electrotherapy is an umbrella term for different modalities- interferential therapy (IFT) being one. IFT uses an electrical impulse transferred through little pads and has multiple different benefits, these include:

* Pain relief- both acute and chronic and can help with nerve pain.
* Healing promotion by increasing circulation and a reduction in swelling.
* Muscle rehabilitation- muscle reeducation, preventing muscle atrophy and reducing muscle spasms.

A great modality to incorporate with massage and rehabilitation exercises/programmes.

I have seen some great results with the use of electrotherapy in my practice recently. Get in touch if you think this is something you need.

I’m back 🎉

Thank you everyone for being so patient whilst I have been off for the last couple of weeks.

I am now back working with a slightly reduced number of appointments per day to begin with.

Before and after just one treatment 💪🏼

When postural changes occur, certain areas can compensate or become overloaded- and in some cases present with pain and reduced range of movement.
Finding the source of the problem then combining manual treatment and exercises can help to restore movement, posture and help to prevent recurrence.
