Last chance to book!‼️

Hi, my name is Jodie Sturges. I have been a qualified counsellor for 13 years, a clinical supervisor and content creator, and I was a counselling tutor for 4 years. I have worked extensively with ADHD for around 6 years and have both professional and lived experience of neurodivergence. I am diagnosed with ADHD myself and also have ADHD children.

Working with ADHD has become a real passion of mine. Throughout my work, I’ve seen how easily ADHD can be misunderstood, missed, or mistaken for other presentations, particularly within therapeutic settings.

My goal is to help fellow therapists feel more confident in recognising ADHD traits, understanding the challenges neurodivergent clients may face, and adapting their therapeutic approach in a way that is supportive, effective, and affirming.

Join me for this online CPD event where we’ll explore the essentials of working with clients who have ADHD or suspected ADHD. Whether you’re new to ADHD or already have experience working with neurodivergent clients, this training will offer practical insights, relatable examples, and strategies you can start using immediately in your practice.

I wanted to share a personal and professional decision.

After many years as an accredited therapist with BACP, I have decided that it is time for me to move on from my membership.

This hasn’t been a decision I’ve made lightly. I have valued being part of the organisation and appreciate the support and recognition that accreditation has brought throughout my career. However, as I have grown and evolved as a therapist, so too have my values, approach, and understanding of the work I do.

At this stage in my professional journey, I no longer feel that BACP reflects who I am as a therapist or represents the direction in which I want to continue developing my practice.

For me, being an ethical and effective therapist is about remaining authentic, continuing to learn, and ensuring that the spaces I align myself with are consistent with my professional values.

I’m incredibly grateful for the experiences and connections I’ve made over the years, and I look forward to continuing to support my clients in a way that feels true to who I am and the work I believe in.

I will be continuing my accredited membership of NCPS.

Here’s to growth, change, and staying aligned with what matters most. 💚
