Reuben’s birth created something of a love affair for me with homeopathy.

He was considered ‘overdue’ and the midwife was attempting to encourage us to consider an induction - something which I was adamantly against.

I knew he was merely choosing his moment.

But slowly fear started to creep in, as his measurements failed to change in the last two weeks and I began to worry that what I felt to be true within my heart and soul may not actually be in alignment with what was best for him.

And it’s a heavy weight to carry, knowing that your choice will directly impact your child.

Thankfully, a conversation with Camilla Fone | Nutritional Alchemy lead me to try homeopathy.

She told me that she’d taken it when one of her children were ‘overdue’ and he’d arrived the same night!

So after a tearful meeting with the midwife, I did my research and picked two which resonated - those that were focusing on fearful, overwhelmed emotions - and waited until the next day to begin taking them.

Low and behold, by the next day contractions started and within seven hours Reuben arrived Earth side, straight into Josh’s awaiting arms in our bathroom at home.

Happy, healthy, and ready to feed!

I didn’t need any more convincing after that!

Since then I’ve continued to incorporate homeopathy into our day-to-day lives.

I took Arnica during labour and combined it with Hypericum in the weeks after childbirth to support recovery.

Nux Vomica became a staple in the first few months, to help with Reuben’s digestive upsets - especially after I’d indulged in spicy foods…

And now that he’s teething, we give him Chamomilla directly, which almost instantly calms him down.

I just love how something as simple and natural as homeopathy can have such a profound impact. Showing that we don’t (always) need interference, sometimes we just need attunement.

🌀 M o t h e r h o o d 🌀

It seems that I have waited a lifetime for this moment to arrive only to find that the practice of presence has not yet been mastered.

That true patience is still in need of development.

And that my desire for productivity is deeply ingrained.

Challenging me at times to be conscious of the fleeting nature of these most precious moments.

To respect the sacred responsibility of being someone’s entire world.

Their nurturance, their safety, their security.

Their only sense of belonging.

To know that their gaze upon me is a search for meaning.

A reflection of their truth.

That they are worthy of my time and attention.

That I am there in every moment of need.

That they are loved.

Without the requirement of performance.

In every instant I am forced to put into perspective what is most important.

To realise where I am stuck.

And to release what is keeping me there.

We’re always trying to make sure that we eat a diverse range of wholefood, plant-based meals, so as to keep our gut microbiome happy - especially as what I eat directly impacts the quality of Reuben’s breastmilk and thus in turn, his microbiome, immune health, and nutrient intake.

So, each week we pick a handful of different recipes to try.

This week’s highlights included:

🌱Spicy Marinated Peanut Tempeh

🌱Chili Crisp Cucumber Soba Noodle Salad

🌱Warm Broccoli & Chickpea Salad

🌱Easy Chickpea Tuna Salad

🌱Baked Butternut Squash Salad

🌱Spring Pea & Mint Tempeh Salad

🌱Tempeh Sweet Chilli Tacos

🌱Spring Couscous Salad

🌱Cashew Crunch Salad

🌱One Pot Smoky Aubergine & Butter Bean Bake

All delicious and packed full of prebiotics, probiotics, protein, fibre, and nutrients!

If you’d like the recipes for any of these, comment YUM and I’ll DM you!

10 weeks since Reuben landed Earth side.

To have spent an entire lifetime desperately wanting to experience motherhood and fearing that it might never happen, I can honestly say it feels like such an honour and a privilege to have been chosen by this most precious soul to be his guardian, caretaker, mother.

I have cried at his smile, his tears, his laughter.

And equally I have been surprised at times by how challenging it has been to surrender to the needs of the moment.

To let go of my ingrained habits and routines, in order to adapt to the demands of someone else.

Someone for whom I am their entire world. Their only form of sustenance. Their centre of gravity. Their marker of safety.

Things I keep in mind on days when I am feeling willful in my desire for productivity. Reminding myself that nothing is more important than this moment.

The one I spent my whole life envisioning.

I caress his soft head, kiss his plump cheeks, gaze into his oceanic blue eyes, soaking in every spectrum of his being.

His chill and joyful external display hiding his intense and independent nature. The side of him which demands our patience and our presence.

The aspect of him that knows he is sacred and sovereign. And must be treated as such.

My love. My angel. My Reuben. 💛

I’m slowly adjusting to the fact that after nine months of pregnancy, it’s likely going to take another 6-12 months (at least) for my body to fully heal and recover after childbirth, as it slowly begins to rebuild bone density, restore nutrients, and reset metabolic function.😳

And I’m only nine weeks postpartum and breastfeeding…🙃

What does it mean to truly believe…well, you might be about to find out, as the Universe takes a journey through the sign of the centaur over the coming weeks and months ahead.

Beginning on November 26th 2024, when Mercury stationed retrograde at 22º Sagittarius, pushing you to pull focus on the bigger picture, asking, what do you believe is possible when it comes to the scope of your life.

As it continues to transit back through the sign - until it stations direct at 6º on December 15th - can you re-examine your life, challenging any limiting beliefs you presently hold around it, whilst re-affirming what it is you really want out of it.

Whilst in the midst of this there will be a New Moon at 9º Sagittarius, occurring on December 1st (6:21am GMT), which asks that you take aim towards the most expansive life you can imagine and believe that you have the capacity to get there.

In opposition to Jupiter, the sky is asking that you learn to move out of your own way, when it comes to your life’s dreams and ambitions, and courageously go after what you want. Something which may challenge you if you’ve been playing small of late, due to fears of failure, rejection, or not feeling capable or worthy.

Consequently, this lunation is set to call your concerns into question, so as to determine which are founded in fact and which are complete works of fiction.

Upon clarification, a square to Saturn will further ask that you do the work required to heal the wound within, the one that keeps you contained in a cage of your own making. Thus, can you utilise this time to liberate yourself from outdated narratives that don’t serve you and give yourself permission to dream of a life far more fantastical than the one you are presently accepting.

Supporting you in the process will be Venus conjunct Pluto, making a trine to Uranus, exclaiming that anything, literally anything, is possible, if you only believe! Thus, this could prove to be a time of sudden, radical change, whereby things completely shift overnight.

By June 11th 2025, at the Full Moon in Sagittarius, life will either have expanded or contracted depending on how willing you were to believe in its ability to do so.

Mindy Pelz just dropped a new book and when I say this woman has changed my life, I am not being dramatic!

I’ve struggled with my hormones for YEARS!

After coming off seven years of birth control that put me into a state of chemically induced menopause - no cycle at all - I got hit with a hormonal overload when menstruation finally returned (it took a year!) in my late twenties.

Heavy bleeding. Irregular cycles. Deep state anxiety. Debilitating cramps.

It was horrendous.

After trying herbs like Ashwaghanda, my cycle began to regulate, but the PMS was so bad and lasted for so long that I actually felt insane for most of the month.

I was reaching a total point of despair when I came across Dr Mindy Pelz on an episode of the Diary of a CEO podcast.

Everything she said made sense and made me wonder why we’re not educated on these issues. On the biology of which we’re expected to deal with and support for our ENTIRE LIVES!

I bought the book, inhaled it, shifted my diet in-line with my cycle and haven’t had PMS since!

Let me sat that again…

I HAVEN’T HAD PMS SINCE!

So when I say this woman changed my life, I am not being dramatic. I stan for Pelz and her work.

Which is why I ordered her latest book the SECOND it dropped and have been researching deeper into the mechanics of hormone production and trying out all of her hormone nourishing recipes, such as:

🥣Purple Quinoa Porrdige
🫘Navy Bean Tuscan Kale Soup
🍠Lentil Mushroom Sweet Potato Shepherd’s Pie
🫐Wild Blueberry Smoothie

And because this is something that I’ve become entirely obsessed with and want to talk more about, in detail, I’ve started a series over at on ‘HOW TO NATURALLY BALANCE YOUR HORMONES’ in case you wanna learn more.

Or just buy the books. In fact, you should do that anyway!

I’ve decided to take a break from teaching over Winter, so that I can relax and recalibrate.

As Josh and I will be traveling in Asia early next year, I’ll likely look to return to class some time in the Spring, hopefully with renewed energy and a fresh perspective!

But before I roll up my mat, I have two last offerings for you:

🤍 Yin Yoga + Meditation
Tuesday 7pm-8:30pm

Join me for one hour of restorative yin yoga, aimed at helping you rest and relax, through passive, supported, longer-held stretches and meditation.

As always, there will be an offering of warming herbal tea after class, so as to create a period of integration and connection before leaving.

I’d definitely advise bringing/wearing warming layers, as the temperatures have dropped dramatically and this practice involves a lot of stillness.

Class is set at a sliding scale of £10/12/14 per person - simply pay what you feel by cash or card on the day!

🤍 Sound Healing + Yin Yoga
Sunday 7:30pm - 9pm

Join myself and Kelly from .love.wellbeing for an immersive experience of Alchemy Crystal Bowl Sound Healing and restorative Yin Yoga, followed by ceremonial cacao and raw chocolate brownies, offering you the opportunity to rest, reset, and initiate a new beginning under the potent energies of the Sagittarius New Moon.

This event is £30 per person and is pre-booking only to ensure there’s adequate space for everyone to relax. For further information, or to book: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1047130153477?aff=oddtdtcreator

These offerings are suitable for all bodies and levels of experience, with mats, props and modifications offered, so you need only bring yourself!

Hope to see you there! 🤍
