📣🎉 Partnership Announcement 🎉📣

We are delighted to announce our new partnership with Everest Counselling, a BACP-accredited counselling provider, expanding access to professional counselling and talking therapies for children and young people across Swale 💬

This partnership marks an important step forward in our mission to ensure that every young person has access to timely, compassionate and high-quality mental health support when they need it most.

Our Founder and CEO, Jordan Dighton, said:

“This partnership represents what can be achieved when organisations unite with a shared purpose and a mutual ambition to create lasting change from the ground up. By investing in early, accessible mental health support, we’re demonstrating how communities can respond to the mental health challenges facing young people today.

It’s not just about encouraging conversations around mental health, it’s about ensuring that when a young person reaches out for help, support is there without unnecessary delay. I’d like to personally thank Gareth and the entire Everest Counselling Services team for believing in our vision and making this partnership possible.”

Gareth Walter, Founder and Director of Everest Counselling Services, added:

“We are absolutely thrilled to announce our partnership with NexYouth, an incredible organisation supporting young people aged 11–25.

This partnership marks the beginning of an exciting journey, allowing us to work together to provide counselling and emotional support to young people who need it most. Every conversation, every session and every connection has the potential to make a real difference.

At Everest, we firmly believe that no young person should have to face life’s challenges alone. Every young person deserves access to the right support at the right time to build resilience, improve emotional wellbeing and protect their mental health.

By joining forces with NexYouth, we’re strengthening our shared commitment to creating brighter futures and ensuring more young people have somewhere safe to turn when they need support. Here’s to working together, making a lasting impact and continuing to change young lives—one conversation at a time.”

Together, we’re building stronger pathways into mental health support, reducing barriers to accessing counselling and ensuring more young people across Swale feel empowered, heard and understood! 💥

A huge thank you to Joy Fuller and Sue Millin, Associate Director of Children’s Mental Health at Kent & Medway ICB, for taking the time to visit our main office and meet with our CEO, Jordan Dighton, today.

It was a fantastic opportunity to discuss the vital role that community organisations like NexYouth play in improving outcomes for children and young people across Swale. We shared our vision, explored the challenges facing young people today and highlighted the importance of delivering the right support, at the right time, by the right people.

We were also grateful for the opportunity to discuss the importance of investing in and sustaining the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector, recognising that strong system-wide partnerships are essential to achieving positive, long-term outcomes for children, young people and their families.

Following such positive discussions, we’re delighted to be working more closely with Joy, Sue and the Children’s Mental Health commissioning team at Kent & Medway ICB to strengthen pathways and ensure children and young people can access timely, person-centred support within communities like ours.

We’re incredibly proud that NexYouth is recognised as a trusted and respected partner within local systems and we’re grateful for the confidence placed in us to help shape and deliver community-based mental health support. Being viewed as a valued strategic partner reinforces our commitment to working collaboratively across health, education and the voluntary sector to improve outcomes for local children and young people.

We’re excited about what the future holds and look forward to continuing to build this valued partnership and making a lasting difference for children and young people across Kent and Medway.

🎪☀️ Leysdown Carnival 2026 ☀️🎪

What an incredible day! 💙

Yesterday reminded us exactly why community events like this are so important. Seeing thousands of people come together to celebrate, support one another and champion local organisations and small businesses across the Isle of Sheppey was truly special.

Leysdown Carnival is always one of the highlights of our summer and this year was no exception.

To everyone who attended, volunteered, performed, exhibited or took part in the parade—thank you! Despite it being one of the hottest summers on record, you showed up with energy and enthusiasm. The effort that went into the costumes, floats and displays was outstanding and together you created an event the whole island can be proud of!

A very special thank you goes to the incredible team at Leysdown Events Organisation. While the carnival lasts just one day, the planning, fundraising and hard work behind the scenes happens all year round. Your dedication, professionalism and passion for bringing people together shone through in every detail and this year’s event was undoubtedly one of the best yet.

Thank you for everything you do to keep this fantastic community tradition alive.

Here’s to another unforgettable year—and we already can’t wait for Leysdown Carnival 2027! 🎉☀️💙

Some partnerships go far beyond funding, and our relationship with Colyer Fergusson Charitable Trust is one of them!

We are absolutely delighted and incredibly grateful to have received an additional £5,000 from the Trust to support our Time2Talk service.

When Jordan founded NexYouth, it was driven by a simple belief that every young person deserves somewhere safe to turn when life feels overwhelming. Since then, we have supported hundreds of young people across Swale, but none of this would be possible without the organisations that believe in our vision and choose to invest in the future of young people!

This latest funding will enable us to employ a dedicated Service Manager for Time2Talk, ensuring we can continue to provide high-quality support, strengthen safeguarding, support our volunteers and expand our reach to meet growing demand across the community.

At a time when youth mental health services are under increasing pressure, this investment will help ensure that more young people have access to the right support, at the right time, from people who genuinely care!

To everyone at Colyer Fergusson Charitable Trust, thank you for your continued confidence in our work, your commitment to young people and your ongoing support of NexYouth. We are proud to have you alongside us on this journey.

Together, we are creating brighter futures for young people across Swale💙

🌟 Service Spotlight - Time2Talk 🌟

Since launching in January, Time2Talk has supported dozens of young people across Swale to improve their wellbeing, overcome challenges and take positive steps towards a brighter future!

As NexYouth’s flagship prevention and early intervention service, Time2Talk supports young people aged 11–25 who are experiencing emotional, social, behavioural or mental health challenges. We also provide dedicated support for neurodivergent young people, helping them navigate barriers and achieve their goals.

The demand for support has been incredible. The service is currently operating at full capacity supporting over 15 young people a week, with a small waiting list of people eager to access support.

Each young person receives up to 12 weeks of tailored support, delivered through weekly sessions designed around their individual needs, goals and aspirations. Support can include:

✅ Advice, support and advocacy
✅ Mentoring
✅ Counselling

Sometimes, having a trusted adult who listens and stands alongside you can make all the difference!

Time2Talk is a trauma-informed, young person-led and entirely voluntary service. Whether it’s helping a young person navigate complicated forms, advocating on their behalf when they don’t feel heard, supporting them to access education, employment or training opportunities or simply providing a safe space to talk, our team is here to help.

We also offer small wellbeing grants to disadvantaged young people, helping them remain in or return to education, employment, or training.

From building confidence and resilience to reducing isolation, improving emotional wellbeing and helping young people re-engage with education and employment, we are seeing real change happen every day.

At NexYouth, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to be heard, supported and empowered to create a brighter future!

📩 If you know a young person who could benefit from support, don’t wait! Visit our website, complete a referral form and let us help them take the next step forward!

Today, we had the privilege of joining community leaders, partners and local residents at a Pride in Place funding meeting alongside Danny Dyer to discuss how £20 million can be invested to create lasting change across Sheppey East over the next decade 💷

It was inspiring to hear so many ideas, perspectives and ambitions for the future of our communities. More importantly, there was a genuine sense of pride, purpose and determination in the room to ensure local people help shape what comes next!

For us, it reinforced the importance of ensuring young people have a voice in the decisions that affect their futures and the places they call home 📣

It was also great to catch up with old friends, make new connections and be part of such a positive and forward-thinking conversation!

We’re looking forward to seeing some of today’s discussions featured in Series 2 of Danny Dyer’s Caravan Holidays on Sky in the coming months! 📺
