🏛️ Heritage Open Days 🏛️

To kickstart Heritage Open Days, our residents enjoyed looking at ‘then and now’ photographs of Sheffield city centre.

The images sparked lovely memories of wedding venues, family days out and time spent in the Winter Gardens, with residents sharing their stories and others enjoying listening and learning. ❤️

We also explored the story behind the famous “I love you, will you marry me” message at Park Hill Flats and learnt more about the history of this iconic Sheffield landmark.

🪑 Pilates with Claire 🧘‍♀️

Claire led a slightly more advanced chair-support session for our residents who still have good mobility and enjoy a little extra challenge.

The session included gentle stretches and exercises designed to help maintain mobility, improve coordination and support strength and flexibility — all at a comfortable pace for each individual.

Most importantly, these sessions encourage our residents to stay active, build confidence and continue taking an active role in supporting their own health and wellbeing. 💚

It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved, working hard and enjoying themselves along the way! 🌟

🍂 Getting in the mood for cosy autumn days! 🍫🧁

Our lovely volunteers, Phoebe and Maisy, joined our residents for some autumn baking, making delicious chocolate cornflake cakes together!

While we baked, we chatted about our favourite activities for the cooler months — from getting creative with arts and crafts to watching films and enjoying a cosy hot chocolate. ☕🎨🎬

A big thank you to Bradway Evangelical Church for visiting us this week for their monthly service. 🙏❤️

Community lies at the heart of our home, and we are delighted to offer a regular service of faith for those who wish to attend. It is a wonderful opportunity for our residents to come together, reflect, sing and enjoy fellowship with others.

We are so grateful to the Bradway Evangelical Church team for their continued support and for being such an important part of our care home community. 🌷

🌸 Card Making with Pressed Flowers 🌸

Caroline recently led a lovely session decorating greeting cards with pressed flowers — a simple yet effective way to create something beautiful to give to a loved one.

She shared her knowledge of some seasonal flowers, passing them around for everyone to look at, touch and smell, bringing the session to life with a wonderful sensory experience.

To finish, Caroline read a few beautiful poems about summer drawing to a close and the arrival of September. 🍂📖

🧸🌸 What a lovely Teddy Bear Picnic! 🌸🧸

Our toddlers joined us for a wonderful Teddy Bear Picnic, and what a special morning it was! 💕

We enjoyed the story Where’s My Teddy?, sang along to Teddy Bear Picnic and Teddy Bear, Teddy Bear, and tucked into a delicious picnic of cake and fruit. 🍰🍓

Our residents and little visitors also enjoyed introducing their teddy bears and making their very own Teddy Bear Identification Cards. 🧸🪪

There were plenty of smiles, giggles and laughter throughout the morning — especially when it came to our very unusual teddy baguette! 🥖😂🧸

Intergenerational activities like these provide a wonderful opportunity for older and younger generations to spend meaningful time together, build connections, share experiences and create happy memories.

A truly heartwarming morning filled with friendship, fun and lots of cuddles! ❤️🧸

🐦☕ Bird watching at The Bird Cafe, Hathersage 🌳💚

What a lovely way to connect with nature at The Bird Cafe in Hathersage.

With bird feeders positioned just outside the window, we could sit comfortably with a hot drink and watch the birds coming and going, all while enjoying beautiful views across the woodland and river. 🐦🌿

It’s a wonderful opportunity for some of our less able-bodied residents to experience the simple joy of being close to nature. There’s something very calming about sitting with a warm drink, watching the birds and river and taking in the woodland surroundings. ☕🍃

A lovely, accessible way to enjoy the outdoors and make some special memories together. ❤️

The Cinnamon Care Collection Awards 2026!🎉
To say I'm a proud manager today is an understatement! Today I took some of my amazing Team Outram to the annual Cinnamon Care Awards and not only did we win one award, we won two🤩
Chloe Pawson won the Non Care category for her passion and dedication to her role as Admin Assistant and the whole Team won the very special Greg Swire award👏❤️
It is every single individual who make Team Outram so special and I honestly couldn't lead a better team.
This is dedicated to every single one of our Residents who have walked through the doors since we opened in 2024. They are the reason we do our job and will continue to.

🍷🧀 Pierre’s English W**e & Cheese Afternoon 🇬🇧✨

Our residents were once again treated to one of their favourite afternoons of the month — Pierre’s W**e & Cheese Afternoon! 🥂

Our wonderful Hospitality Manager, Pierre, hosts this special gathering each month, creating a relaxed and sociable afternoon for our residents to enjoy good food, good conversation and a little indulgence.

This month’s theme was all things English, with a delicious selection of English cheeses and w**es for everyone to sample. Including a w**e from Renishaw Hall Vineyard 🇬🇧🧀🍷

It’s always a firm favourite with our residents and a lovely opportunity to come together, discover new flavours and enjoy a special treat.

A huge thank you to Pierre for once again creating such a wonderful afternoon — we’re already looking forward to next month! ❤️
